Seems like people are having random technical issues, anyone know

I'm going to be a bit technical, because likely Paul or another person with access to the site's ISP has to contact
their name service provider
to fix it.
It looks like it's a DNS problem: metamorphose.org is supposed to
be resolved by ns1.pids.net
and ns2.pids.net
. Both of these name servers names resolve to a group of 7
Cloudflare servers: 104.21.80.1, 104.21.16.1, 104.21.32.1, 104.21.96.1, 104.21.48.1,
104.21.112.1, 104.21.64.1
All connections to these servers time out. It might be a regional thing. I can confirm that it's not working
for me from the EU.
I think the fine people of Phoenix Wireless
, who seem to be hosting metamorphose.org
's name servers will have to fix this on their end, maybe together
with Cloudflare.
As a temporary workaround you can put the latest known IP (192.158.26.211
) for metamorphose.org
in you local hosts file (documentation
). Just put the this line at the end of the file and reload the
site:
192.158.26.211 metamorphose org

Guys, how much I missed this site, it's the site I use the most
after YouTube. When 5 days ago, I discovered that the site went
down, I was really upset and I clicked several times to see if it
still worked and I did it for 5 days. Ironically, just last night,
I dreamed that the site was operational again and that it had gone
down, only for an update (in the dream, one of the updates was that
to make a new question you had to pay a credit and that each day
you only had 5 available). I'm happy that it's back online

some way to 4 chan since that place just got taken down permanently

Ironic that this site resurrected on Easter day, best Easter so
far! I use this site daily and it made me so sad when it went down.
Hope this is a call for a backup or an alternative in case
something like this happens again. Some have suggested a discord
and that might be a good alternative to flock to. This is a very
niche community so having the members who would like to keep
contributing in a dedicated space is important. There is also an
impressive amount of content that this site has saved over the
years so it should be preserved but archiving all of that content
might seem a bit daunting. Tbh I was looking at the wayback machine
version of the site and was about to brainstorm how to save the
female shapeshift thread. Anyways I'm super happy its back, thank
you so much for your efforts paul!

Thanks again for all the work the admins did to get the site back.
Everyone pretty much had the same thing but I love this site and I
would hate to see it go away. Anyway I can hope. Let me know
