also interesting becasue the Dr. in her body gets "excited" when the female nurse gives her a massage. The Dr. also dance with a guyand is kissed by him in sevens body.

The best Trek tg episode since Kirk ran down the hall of the Enterprise in a mini nightshirt. Doctor Seven gets to literally let her hair down, go on a dinner date with an male captain, dance with him and kiss him. He gets a sensual massage from a sexy female crewmember and can't seem to stop himself from crossing Seven's arms over her beautiful chest. Excellent.

What change?
Yes Seven-of-Nine is a woman, but the Doctor is not a man, not a male. He's not even a living being, human, male or otherwise!
He... or "It" ...is a hologram, a computer subprogram with no physical body at all!
The fact that "It" is designed to appear and talk like the human male Dr. Zimmerman is beside the point. It's an elaborately enhanced medical tricorder which Dr. Zimmerman programmed to act human to make it easier to deal with.
Seven-of-Nine might as well be posessed by the ship's computer.
Big deal.

The thing that struck me is how fay Geri Ryan acted when The Doctor was in control of her body. She acted much more masculine as Seven, as, of course, the irony of her character was that she had no clue the effect her body had on members of the opposite sex. The Doctor, on the other hand, knew very well what kind of sexual dynamite he was in charge of and wanted to use it to the hilt.

Regarding the comment of whether this is a genuine Gender Change, i belive it is.

The Doctor, although initially merely a computer program, develops in the series to become a fully sentient being much like Data in the Next Generation. Along with this sentience comes a male id and ego, along with male feelings and urges (evidenced by his attraction to Seven Of Nine). I would therefore deem the Doctor a male character worthy of being considered in a Gender Swap scenario.
