The description reads like it was promotion for the book, but it is accurate. I have the book and it is quite good!

In addition to Don changing genders, the narrator and his girlfriend also go thru the gate and several chapters in the book are devoted to his and her adaption to their new genders.

Highly recommended!

Bought the e-book for my Pocket PC, and love it. Easy reading, and fun. Lots of gender changes occur, not just the main characters.

bought the trade pb version from amazon. very disappointing. there is more thoughtful, better written, and titillating material available for free on-line.

set in the near future, written in an unconvincing first person, with intrusive "i told you so" social commentary and annoying future-speak jargon. like a bad pastiche of larry niven.

i am guessing that the two authors are "unique" (from the review posted in the listing) in that they've never taken a freshman comp. class.

very lightweight, finished it in about 2 hours. once you've read the blurb, you pretty much know the whole story.

This book can only be described in one word:Amazing. As you follow the heros you become a part of the book, like you're right. The main hero is a man and goes through the gates to save his dying girlfriend. Then s/he finds out what sex is like from the other side. S/he then switches back and again and again becoming bot genders many times. The gates cause great unrest in the world. This book really boggles the mind and leaves asking your selve "what if" alot. Excelent read. I couldn't put it down.
