The Catalyst
Gender | |
Adam is a down on his luck engineer who meets up with a mad scientist at a bar. He then ends up an unsuspecting guinea pig for the scientists body altering machine. The scientist changes Adam into Eve.
This is a short low budget film made by a company that produces custom movies for a fee.

Over all this was pretty good film compared to other independant TG
films. I thought the story could have been longer and a little more
in depth perhaps another hours worth of story could have showed a
little more of what was going on in Eve's head about being a girl
and the differences from being Adam. The acting was mediocre. In
some areas they did well and in others they failed to "sell" what
was happening. Some of the dialog seemed forced and Eve didn't
express some of her emotions in the way one would expect in that
situation. The transformation was pretty good and the initial
reaction was great. There was a little touchy-feely but not overly
done. The initial dialog, after the TF, was pretty good and
"David's" ultimatum was delivered well. I did feel that when she
did except male advances, she didn't appear as reluctant as I would
have expected. Over all I would have to say this is the best TG
film I have seen to date including the watered down TG fluff films
that Hollywood puts out. I would suggest spending the money on it.
I ordered mine on Tuesday and recieved it on Friday of the same
week.

I got mine on Friday. The storyline is similar to many TG/TF
stories you would find on Fictionmania.com - transformation,
sci-fi, stuck, etc. It was nice to see one of these stories put on
video with a relatively attractive actress in the lead. The acting
is mediocre, but worth sitting through to enjoy the storyline, and
serves the purpose. There is some nudity, and of course the special
effects are corny, but this wasn't made with Steven Spielberg's
budget.
One note though. While the VHS tape I ordered arrived quickly, it
had some pieces broken inside and I had to take the case apart and
put the tape into another case, not something everyone could do.
Worked fine after that and the video quality is high end.

Well, first off the movie really only runs about 38 minutes and
then there is a behind the scenes special feature, that just shows
the actors screwing up there lines, which last another 10 to 15
minutes. First off, I ordered the film on a Thursday night and got
it on the next Tuesday, which was excellent. The quaility of the
film is definatly low, low, low buget, but it is watchable. The
acting is hit and miss throughout. Transformation scene was pretty
good and first reaction was good. However, like Corwin's review
said, nothing seems to happen. The story has no real direction, so
I felt a little disappointed at the end. Although, I guess if your
at this website reading this review, then you should probably get a
copy of it, since it is interesting and very transformation
friendly.

For everybody out there, I think you should really spend some money
to buy this one. The transformation scene is very good. When the
new Adam/Eve checks out her new body he/she doesn't like it at
first but then has to get use to it after turning down scientist
who want to have sex with Eve. But,Eve wants to be changed back to
Adam. The scientist won't do unless Eve has sex with him. Eve says
no and remains stuck as a woman for the rest of the movie. I give
the transformation scene a 10/10 vote.
