"The Long Goodbye" episode of Stargate Atlantis
Male, Female | |
Dr. Weir was possessed by alien found in a lifepod. Another alien in another lifepod took over Sheppard's body. And they fought to the death due to the 2 aliens were enemies. |

Basically, they found two aliens in pods, who then "imprinted"
themselves on the main characters, the female civilian leader of
the leader, Weir, and the main military commander, Sheppard. Being
Stargate, they just trust the aliens, not noticing that the first
female alien has access to Weir's knowledge (including everything
about Atlantis) who as soon as they're in their new bodies, restart
their private war, beating up the random troops (who are basically
walking sources of weapons), wrecking the city, etc. And for some
reason they let the second male alien take over the chief military
officer of the city (before the first female alien showed her true
colors). Ok episode in terms of possession, as the aliens
impersonate their hosts often to trick people, as nobody bothered
sharing information with each other so they easily get
surprised/tricked.
For instance, at one point, the male alien convinces one of
Sheppard's teammates who is hunting him that Caldwell, the current
CO, is the one possessed, as nobody bothered to tell Sheppard's
teammate the part about seeing a beam hit Sheppard (there were
other people other than Caldwell who saw the transfer). Then, they
don't bother to cancel Weir's command code, so she takes over the
city more than halfway into the episode. Typical Stargate
incompetence/plot device the whole time, but decent action episode.
Though for some reason, Sheppard's alien fades away first before
Weir's, even though the male arrived later. But I'll just dismiss
it as a plot device (they were never clear whether that was another
ruse or not). Just adding for completeness sake, though with the
second alien, this could count as a male entry too.
