I first heard of this series about four or five years ago when I read the old version of the first graphic novel at Farhad's site. There have now been two other graphic novels that follow this same story arc that are sequels to the original; and a new series called JOHANNA that features the same character and picks up where the third volume left off has now started. This series is wonderfully bizarre, and the only fault I can find with it is that the girl looks like a walking Kewpie doll.

I don't see the comparison between the girl and a Kewpie Doll.

Well, maybe not like a Kewpie Doll, but in UNE FEMME DANS LA PEAU she has the facial features of an expensive Parisian doll and the figure of a Barbie doll.

Yeah, the face and figure are a bit exaggerated, more than verging on caricature, as they are for most characters in the comic, especially the female ones. It's rather fun, though: Farhad's site has the sequels, too, also Englished, and there's a lot of kinkiness with luscious (if exaggeratedly pretty) young female bodies acting rather strangely due to the brains (usually of men) that have been transplanted into them. Use of a nubile young girl's body as a sort of disguise is weirdly sexy, and putting a man's brain into a female dog's body to shut him up without actually killing him is, well, just weird.
