Todd Strasser book Help, I'm Trapped in a Supermodel's Body
Gender | |
Once again Jake and the DITS go to work. This time he ends up first in the Body of Supermodel Lanny Shanks and Then in Amanda, the Ugliest girl in school, when she decides she wants to be the beautiful supermodel. Remember this is a kids book so nothing racy.

I'm not feminist, surely, but I thought that this book as rather a
sexist work. The basic message is that women are only worthwile if
they're pretty, and that everyone recognized it, and anyone who
says otherwise is a lying hypocrite.

(keeps the cops away)
but if anyone would be happy to trade, i think i have some stuff

be looking for... ill be on irc from time to time.

Actually the opposite, I think. The Supermodel would rather remain
plain old Jake and pass on the glamorous life. Jake certainly found
it restricting to be the model. But he showed in the end that
becoming the ugly girl wasn't the end of the world for him if he
was stuck that way.
the ugly little girl was the one who wanted the model's life, but
she was rather ugly in her mind foremost.

Your local library. If they don't have it, you can probably get it
on inter-library loan.

My mind is blown - I actually found this online in a torrent in a
.mobi file format. It was in the shadiest looking torrent, but it
downloaded in seconds, and it's legit.

Funny this thread popped up. I did actually find the printed
versions of both books. Good concept but yes directed at
kids. Too bad the author ended the series.
