Isn't this the same as Tenshi na Konamaiki
? Which was also made into a television show "A Cheeky Angel
"
.
And I believe that this A.K.A for Tenshi na Konamaiki
is actually titled "A Cheeky Angel"
.

it is the same, they are the same thing

One is a comic, the other a television show.

I'm still seeing that "Tenshi na Konamaiki" IS
"Cheeky Angel"
or "A Cheeky Angel"
, and
it is both a manga (comic) and a television show.
Though I am given pause, as it seems the actual title of the manga
is "Cheeky Angel"
with an A.K.A. of "Tenshi na Konamaiki"
.
So, I guess I learned something new today. :-)

It was originally a manga with the title VgȏӋC ("Tenshi na
Konamaiki") and the subtitle "A Cheeky Angel" published by Shonen
Sunday Comics in Japan. Look at the large version of this Amazon.jp
cover and look on the upper left-hand side, below the kanji and
above the SSComics logo. It is a little difficult to read on the
jpg.

"Tenshi na Konamaiki" was soon made into an anime also produced in
Japan, and now on dvd.
Eventually Viz got the translation rights, and has been marketing
the English manga and anime as plain-old "Cheeky Angel" without any
"A" before it.

So what the various Metamorphose postings need are some
explanations of whether they are referring to a Japanese-language
product or an English-language product.
But either way, it is my humble opinion that the story contains no
transformation whatsoever and therefore does not belong on
Metamorphose at all. But I know that's a minority opinion.

That mess up there was supposed to be the kanji.

BTW, why does Viz manga artwork ALWAYS look so much worse than the
Japanese original? Just what is wrong with their printing presses?

>>> "Just what is wrong with their printing presses?"
Maybe they're made in a technologically inferior nation... like the
U.S. of A.

I can't imagine it's a minority opinion among people who've read
the thing all the way through to the end. (Although I think my
tip-off was around half-way through--one of the characters figures
out the twist way early on)

I agree that that this entry should be deleted. Lame twist at the
end.

I agree with the above. This manga has a similar twist as Boku wa
Mari no Naka (Inside Mari) at the end. The latter is not in the
entry here probably for this very reason. As such I think same
standard should be applied to Cheeky Angel.
