Self/less
Male | |
Plot Summary: The film focuses on a man who, getting on in years and close to death, puts his mind in a younger body. Soon, though, he learns of the means by which his new body was obtained and finds himself on the run from a company trying to silence him.

Does anyone know if there is any M/F in this movie? I know it will
be released in a few days but just checking to see if anyone has
the inside scoop?

No inside information here Jimbo but you know aside from any
transfer, TG etc. it looks like a pretty good movie.
Ben Kingsley becames Ryan Reynolds with some of the latter's
memories/emotions (?) still residing in the body so it'll be
interesting to see how the new Kingley will react.
I'm sure some sort of moral lesson will be involved too. You guys
who see it let us know.

I was hoping that there might be a brief tg that would be shown.
Some rich millionaire that wanted a change.

"Some rich millionaire that wanted a change."
And my distorted mind is thinking, "What, like being a rich
millionaire's wife?" :-)

on the live with Kelly & Mike show this am Ryan didn't say anything
about tg in the movie but did say if the technology worked he'd try
being a girl.

Just came back from seeing SELF/LESS, and I'm afraid it's a pretty
dull movie with zero TG content. Sorry, folks... nothing to see
here.

How was it for the body-swap / mind-transference and identity
angles?

Well, cj, on the one hand, that's of course the central premise of
the movie. But I can't say it does much with it. There is a montage
where Ryan Reynolds enjoys the benefits of being newly young and
handsome, but weirdly it doesn't really contain any scenes where he
seems conscious of having a new physicality... looking at himself
in the mirror, e.g., or having a different height, physique, etc.
There's a villanous henchman who occupies a couple of different
bodies over the course of the film as well. But that's about it. A
disappointment.

No F2Fs either?

"No F2Fs either?"
Have yet to watch it, but I hope so. It seems like something a rich
older woman would do, try to switch herself into a young and
beautiful body.

Might be a good ending, for Reynolds to win and put Kingsley into
the body of a young brain dead woman... But I doubt it, also brief
at end are the words I hate most, maybe because that's the reality
for many of us, if at all ;)

Officer Barbrady saw this movie. He said, "Move along now...
Nothing to see here."
