I thought I'd put the ordering info directly in the catalog Unless
they've sold out their copies, right now the Empire Arts Center
sells DVDs of MISS MYSTIC and my other three movies in its gift
shop, and Budget Music & Video in Grand Forks also has DVDs for
sale. (Or you could always buy one
directly from me!)
I've been selling them at $20 apiece, or $15 each for three or
more.
A money order would be fine, or if you're in town you could just
stop by and pay cash. I'll be working at the Carmike 10 Theatre in
the projection booth this Wed. and Thurs. afternoons from around
noon til six and can bring it
with me if I know you're coming, or my home address is 1525

Well...I can understand what Dexter Dickie is saying....that he
could do better. Thing about making short movies is that there's no
market for them. I know for a fact that I would never go to a
theater and shell out money to watch a bunch of short movies.
Neither would any of my friends. I got a chance to see Miss Mystic
and Hometown Assassins at the Forx Film Fest and I enjoyed them
both. I also enjoyed Customer 152(name) and I had a few beefs with
Looking For Lillian (talk about a movie that needed a script!) But
they were features...and they were the only reason I was there.
Perhaps dexter dickie should make a movie with a budget of zero
while at the same time holding a part time job...before he decides
he's a film critic.
Film critics are a dime a dozen in today's internet world....

I've been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I
downloaded all of the trailers & pictures off the official site.
I've also visited the Wikipedia page for the movie. However, I am
not too comfortable with sending a money order all the way to
America from a totally different country all together. I've
searched high & low for other ways to obtain it., but have come up
with nothing....anybody got another suggestion?

I rewatched this movie the other day and it still holds up.
Obviously low budget, some lighting issues, but you could see the
dedication in everyone invovled. And it had a complete and
compelling story that for the most part was well acted.

I have never seen this movie yet. I wonder what the movie is going
to be like when I watch it for the first time.

It's just been brought to my attention that you can now listen to
samples of some of the songs featured in this movie on iTunes. Type
in "Whisky Sam" and look for the album titled "On The Roxx." Then
check out the songs titled "I Miss You," "Nothing Is Forever" and
"Let's Party." Perhaps these tunes might give you an idea of what
this movie "sounds like." It's probably about as close as we're
ever going to get to actually seeing it for ourselves, as it
appears that nobody is willing to share this movie. Given that some
of the people who own it are makers of independent movies
themselves, it's quite understandable why they wouldn't want to
just throw it onto YouTube for nothing. Still, it'd be nice to
check it out one day...... I can only hope.... and dream that the
director will either decide sell it through eBay or Amazon or put
it up for purchase/rent on iTunes.

You guys do know it's now school break, and the director is a
university professor. So he might not check his school email
account or even his private email account until later next
month.....
