Magick
Gender | |
Produced by Robert Zemeckis and directed by Tommy O'Haver, 'Magick' will apparently be a mainstream fantasy/comedy adventure movie in which a man and woman switch bodies from the neck down. Plot details are vague at the moment as the whole project is being kept secretive. But so far I gather that th ...more |

If the movie has not been released, or even finished yet, and the
details are vague, why add it to the list? Why can't you wait until
it actually does come out?

Actually, IMDB is showing this movie is "in production", with Tommy
O'Haver listed as director.

I wonder about it too, it was supposed to be out in 2005 but it
vanished. But no site says it is canceled.

on imdb.com it says that the project is unknown. Im thinking that
they never figured out a script and that this wont be released.

Shame.
I have the technology to do a movie like this, but finding a female
co-star to commit with very little pay is damn near impossible. It
takes a lot of time and some painstaking greenscreen work.
Also, the actresses I use are weary of even touching their breasts.
What's up with that? lol

Ipkiss, the solution is to use motion capture mapped to a 3D
character of your chosing. No actress required. All it requires is
a render farm and a reasonably talented graphics artist. The
resulting generated character can then be mapped back into a real
world set so that you don't have to go to the trouble of computer
generating your environment.
This would give you an artificial looking actress which no doubt
would not mesh 100% with the surroundings, but I doubt anyone here
would complain about it.

I've got some old PCs laying around for your render farm Ipkiss -
if you can use old 386sx and 486 machines... maybe even an original
Pentium or two... or three...

Actually, the early IBM's had a monochrome card. You could get a
CGA, but graphics in those days weren't cheap!

I guess I shouldn't have thrown out that 386/16 SX system today eh
CJ? You have me beat though bob... you have a real museum piece
there! Though I think my Tandy Model I may be even older. It had a
monochrome display too, but that was because you had to hook it up
to your television's rabbit ears :)

Thanks, but I knew it. I check IMDB consistently.

I guess Basic 2.0 and 3,5 KByte should be enough for every one and
every application.
CMOS's 6502 is rather fast with it's nearly 1MHz clock rate. The
incredible HiRes of
176x186 is unbeatable. Phantastic QWERTY (actually we use QWERTZ)
keyboard. Much better than some rubber(mate)-keys(6 functions per
key!AFAIK) or those shity metallic
keys.[imghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Sinclair_ZX81.jpg[/img
And this brings me to the question: Is TRON a transformation?
