The new game that has recently been released says you can morph
into different people, can anyone confirm this?

It's true. You can "eat" people for health and to steal their
memories and you get the ability to assume the form of whoever you
ate last.

It is for 360 and PS3. Can anyone confirm that you can eat female
pedestrians in the game as well? It is said you can eat anyone, I
bought it today, but I have yet to play it since I am still at
work.

I bought the game today & think it's pretty good. You can 'consume'
any person in the game, whether it being an enemy military soldier
or a civilian. By consuming certain people, you get their knowledge
of weapons, flying aircraft, driving tanks, APCs etc. but most
importantly, it lets you go around unnoticed.
You can get an idea from this:

It's out on PC, X-Box 360 & PS3 ;)

Neat idea, but why do you have to be such a bad guy?
|
From: guest
, 193 months, post #9 |
Well, I haven't played the whole game yet, I'm stuck at the
moment... it appears you have a pretty good reason not to be in a
good mood. You wake up on a slab with amnesia, then get instantly
get shot at. Escaping, they then precede to blow up your apartment
& try to kill your friends and family (not to mention you)..

Yeah....but then you kill a whole bunch of civilians and people
going about their business on the street. If you only did violence
against the evil people, I wouldn't quibble.

You're a "bad guy" because it's fun, pure and simple. Consider it a
sort of semi-Venom/Carnage simulator.

From: guest

Yeah, it's fun. I mean, I don't really like being the bad guy, but
it's so damn fun going on a rampage, and there's no penalty for
being a total ass so, why not?
You don't even have to kill civilians, if you don't want to.

From what I've seen of the various gameplay videos, you at least
need to roughly knock civilian NPCs out of the way when you are
running at superhuman speed on those New York sidewalks. But you do
HAVE to kill and absorb specific people to complete game
objectives.
The makers of the game intentionally created Alex Mercer not to be
a perfect hero, but someone with a lot of moral gray and darkness
within him. For some gamers, that aspect is rather appealing, and I
myself find it a bit intriguing.

This is based of the graphic novel Prototype... read it love
it...understand the fact that he is pissed because he is an
experiment and the government whiped his memory. and can anybody
confirm that Mercer can consume and assume the identites of female
npc's.

If you mean the comic that just came out, it's the other way
around. The comic was a tie-in that came out before the game to
expand on some of the game's backstory.
And yes, there are female NPCs whose identities you can consume.
There's probably around a dozen female NPC types and then multiple
variations for those regarding skin tone and outfit colors. The
three main female NPCs in the actual story (Dana Mercer, Karen
Parker and Elizabeth Greene) you can't become, though.

Singing: "I won't eat people! Eating people is wrong!"
see the song "The Reluctant Cannibal" by Flanders and Swann. But as
it's only a game, I just might eat people... especially pretty
female NPCs. I mean, not as if they're REAL people...

There is a reason you have to click on it to reveal it.
At least try
and resist the pull! :P
Another good rule of thumb is to never, ever
read a thread on a GameFAQs board for a game you own but haven't
finished, no matter how innocuous the thread in question may appear
to be at first sight.
I never learn that one, and I've spoiled far too many games because
of it.
