I’m trying to find more live-action examples like these. If you don’t mind me asking, how do you usually find this kind of information? Do you mostly use Metamorphose.org, or are there other sites/databases/forums or search techniques you use?

I’m curious how you manage to find so many of these scenes.

Here are few films that came across my mind:
1. Rendez-moi ma peau (1980)
A man and a woman get into a car accident with a witch, who takes out her anger on them by switching their bodies and their voices go along.
2. Turnabout (1940)
A married couple switched bodies by a Buddha statue but they still speak with their own voice.
3. Payshanbadan payshanbagacha (2012)
Man transforms into a woman due to opening a mysterious book. The book also causes another transformation in the movie, involving age regression, where an adult man is turned back into a child but the transformed victims retain their voices.
4. Ghost Punting
A vengeful ghost possessed a female lieutenant to get help in order to avenge his death.

The ones I can recall are 1x01, 1x03, 1x07, 2x07, but there probably are more. She regularly channels Jen's deceased father to talk to Jen, so probably some more casual usages here and there.

Glad it helped! Some of these early year clips are my first exposures to these shows, and I know they have been deleted since, which is a shame.

My pleasure to share! Yeah, it's not very easy searching with just keywords, since this is a relatively minor aspect of TG (often comes with possession, body swap etc). I happen to be into this too, so when I come across anything, whether it's through this website or others, whichever kind of TG it is, I would always add a note specifically about the voices.

As for how I find any TG, this site is one of my main source. Sometimes I get alerted of new TG moments on the MSG board. My other source is Bilibili, where I follow a few TG channels and watch enough TG related stuff that clips like these actively show up on my feed (it helps that they usually name the TG in the title like some kind of clickbait, which I gladly take). And of course there are some other sites that I visit, which I can share if you're interested (some of them are already listed on this site too).

I think one thing that helps me largely is that I speak Mandarin. It makes it much easier for me to not only understand Chinese TG video clips but also extract plot/character information from the clips, which would provide me with clues to trace down the source even if it's not listed. Once the source is found, I would look up the show's Wiki or Baidu page for more info, then I'd go through episode summary or recap to see if there are any more TG moments. Or, if I'm really interested, skim through the show myself.

This can also be extended to Japanese sources too--many of these video clips, if found on Biilibili, already contain Chinese subtitles. And for tokusatsu, there's quite a lot of coverage in English already. Sometimes I'd just go onto Super Sentai or Kamen Rider Wikis, and search keywords like mimic, impersonate, disguise etc and see if anything pops up. (Incidentally, the same method I use for any English-speaking show that features magic, shapeshifters, ghosts... anything that seems likely. If I become aware of it, I'd do keyword search on their Wiki if any, or go through episode recaps)

So this covers at least Chinese and Japanese, two of the largest TG content producing circles, on top of English-speaking ones. But yeah, the voice aspect usually is more of a bonus that I look out for than something I can search up (except for voice swap or mimicry I guess). I hope this answers your question!

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation! This is really helpful.
I hadn’t thought about using the Chinese subtitles on Bilibili to trace the original source and then checking Wikis/Baidu and episode recaps. That’s a really clever approach.

I also search for these kinds of scenes, especially cases where a female character visibly speaks with a male voice, so your method gives me some new ideas.

You mentioned that you use some other sites as well. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me which sites you usually use. I’m always looking for new sources to search.

RE: the kloons. the entire 2 season series was a voice swap between a male and a female portraying a body swap long term. so you dont need a timecode, just look up "the kloons body swap" and start from episode 1, there was about 16 episodes iirc that they were swapped and therefore voices were swapped.
