REQ: Female with male voice – live-action examples worldwide
Page 1 2

From: guest (VoiceHunter) , 27 days, post #1

I’m looking for live-action examples from anywhere in the world where a female-presenting person/character visibly speaks with a male voice.

I’m interested in movies, TV shows, horror, tokusatsu, commercials, music videos, web videos, V-Cinema, etc.

Examples include:

A woman imitating a man’s voice
Possession by a male spirit
Body/soul swapping
Voice changers
A woman impersonating a man
A female android/robot/AI with a male voice
A female character dubbed by a male voice actor

Most important: the woman’s face and mouth should be visible while the male voice is heard coming from her.

Please share, if known:

Title / country / year
Character or actress
Episode or timestamp
Reason for the male voice
Video or other source

I’ve already searched Metamorphose and found some examples, but I’m looking for additional cases that I may have missed.

Obscure or unidentified examples are welcome too. Even a vague memory of the scene may help identify it.

I’m trying to collect and verify as many live-action examples as possible.

From: guest (VoiceHunter) , 27 days, post #2

Here are some verified live-action examples I’ve found so far:

1. Kamen Rider Hibiki – Hime
A female-presenting character who visibly speaks with a male voice.
2. Dengeki Sentai Changeman – Shima
Played by a female actress, but voiced by a male voice actor.
3. Ultraman Mebius – Episode 39
Sayuri’s body is possessed and speaks with a male voice.
4. Ajinomoto Stadium “Husky Girls” commercial (2005)
Several women are visibly shown speaking with deep male-sounding voices.
5. Back Street Girls: Gokudolls
The live-action adaptation includes scenes involving voice switching.

I’m looking for more examples that can be confirmed from actual video footage.

If you know of another example, please share the title and, if possible, a video link or timestamp so it can be verified.

The Kloons body swap was a 2 season long series that was excatly this, used voice swap to indicate a body swap.

From: guest (Trope) , 27 days, post #4

Have u found any voice imitation ones so far

From: guest (voicehunter) , 26 days, post #5

Thanks! The Kloons example sounds very interesting. Do you remember the specific episode or scene? A video link or timestamp would be really helpful for verification.

I’m also looking for voice imitation/impersonation examples, especially female-presenting characters visibly speaking with a male voice. Any examples are welcome!

Here’s another live-action example of a female character being possessed and speaking with a male voice.

Video: https://youtu.be/KRZEK9y5dCw?si=U49aB_Ktk8LIJKs8

The possession scene can be seen in the footage, and the female character speaks with a male voice.

More examples to come!

Really, thank you for sharing those, as I also have the same interest in this, Wow.. I just found out there is that thing in Hibiki and Dengeki Sentai Changeman, but is this post redundant with the Female with Voice thread?

From: guest (Ctz) , 26 days, post #9

For what I found, I've already linked those there in that thread, but yeah, many of them are on Bilibili sites... there are a ton of them there that can be dug up: https://www.metamorphose.org/thread/show.htp?threadid=22421&page=34&se0=thread&se1=show

Sorry if it not specific drama/ movie, well it's just female with male voice though (but some of it have long eps)

From: Generic guest name , 26 days, post #10

Are you specifically looking for live action only or are you open to cartoons/anime?

From: guest (voicehunter) , 26 days, post #11

9.Ctz

Yes, there is some overlap with the Ctz thread, but many of the links there are dead or no longer available, so I can’t actually watch and verify those examples.

Also, for Hibiki and Dengeki Sentai Changeman, the villains are physically portrayed by female actors, but their voices are provided by male voice actors.

From: guest (voicehunter) , 26 days, post #12

I’m not limited to movies or TV dramas. Any live-action material is fine — TV shows, movies, commercials, short videos, promotional videos, etc. As long as the example can be verified from actual footage, I’m interested.

Also, you mentioned there are many examples on Bilibili. What search terms or keywords should I use to find them?

From: guest (voicehunter) , 26 days, post #13

I’m looking for live-action only. Anime/manga aren’t really what I’m after. TV shows, movies, commercials, short videos, etc. are all fine. Basically, if it’s live-action and I can verify the scene from the footage, I’m interested.

Ok, worth a shot asking at the very least

From: guest (Ctz) , 26 days, post #15

13 well I usually just looking for a post from a channel that daily post about M2F Bodyswap/ transformation, and usually it feature female with male voice: https://space.bilibili.com/130794346?spm_id_from=333.788.upinfo.detail.click but I also search with bodyswap / female with male voice using Google translate for many language well it's not instantly found and must trying but have you check through the female with voice thread before? Because many already stated there, including the BiliBili link I found for female with male voice

From: guest (voicehunter) , 26 days, post #16

I’ve been checking that Bilibili account as well, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find many good examples recently. Have you happened to find any interesting videos lately, Ctz?
