Ok leapheads, are you team Beckett or team Song?

Considering Ben Song only had 1/3 of the episodes Sam Beckkett had,
I think he had potential to be the best one if they didn't cancel
it.

I feel like Scott Bakula, the actor really made Beckett more
memorable
Sorry to the Ben Song actor but honestly if they had to choose an
Asian they should have chosen someone with a more memorable
appearance, he looks too generic for me

No doubt, Scott Bakula’s portrayal of Sam Beckett in Quantum Leap
was iconic.
Every time he leaped, his charisma was crazy he made each episode
unforgettable.
Granted, Raymond Lee as Ben Song brings a fresh take, but some feel
he blends into the background.
Really, it’s tough to match Bakula’s distinct presence.
Only a unique look, like Daniel Dae Kim’s intensity or maybe
someonr like Simu Liu’s charm, might’ve stood out more for the
role.
Even so, Lee’s performance is solid, just not as striking for some
people I think.
Still, the show’s heart remains, and that’s what keeps me watching.

They were two totally different shows. Sam leaped back into people
whose wrongs often included being the wrong gender, race,
nationality, etc and proving they were equal.
Ben Song leaped back in time with the assumption that everyone was
equal in the past and just needed to solve their personal problems.
In the Ben QL there was the assumption there was no discrimination
in the past and that their race, gender, beliefs etc., did not
compound their problems.

I liked them both but for me the challenge was there was a lot of
storyline in the modern time frame that it became less aboht the
Leaper adapting to the role and having challenges with it. I did
like though how it was about the family of the QL project coming
together to help guide Ben through, especially the first season. I
think the reboot had great potential as I liked the overarching
storyline outside of the project, but sometimes I just wanted them
to focus on the leap.

You know, in regards to Ben's QL, it kind of makes you wonder that
his version should've orginally have aired on its streaming service
Peacock. But then again, if it did, I'm assuming that the ratings
would've flunked their as well.

Let's not forget the third Q-Leap contender... Quarantine Leap!
At 90 episodes, it is nearly ready to surpass the original Scott
Bakula series!
If you haven't seen it yet, go to U Tube and find it. The creator,
James Ward, is one of us and a fine film director.
