If they still take credits when it's blocked that's gonna break the deal for me. And yeah like above said, the unlimited makes it worth it right now with how often it just doesn't listen

These aren't the best technical quality, but they're kind of nostalgic. Here's Freddy Krueger causing havoc.

I'm having a really good time with the photo generator. It's just a shame that each photo takes me about an hour!

From: ZeroSuitLink , 1 months, post #1266
I've now run into a problem where it doesn't process anything. My prompts are just sitting in queue. Anyone else havng problems this morning?

From: guest , 1 months, post #1267
It's Saturday, so it seems normal if the queue is long, I also waited more than 30 minutes

seems like until now they didn't open a new server to reduce or divide this queue

From: guest (QL) , 1 months, post #1268
Yeah I'm giving up on this. As soon as it was said they were "considering" a paid option I knew it was over. They're going to make the site completely unusable for anyone not paying and once they've been driven off, start making it unusable for anyone not paying the $100 per month tier. Was nice while it lasted but every start up needs to be greedy. Not even saying they can't have paid tiers but the whole limiting how much you can make and then the artificial queues to annoy people into jumping up to paid tiers is just lame.

From: ZeroSuitLink , 1 months, post #1269
Damn, didn't realize saturdays were this bad. It's been 1 hour and nothing has moved

From: Shapeshifterry , 1 months, post #1270
@QL

That's exactly what I said a few posts ago, about 2 Hours of waiting for a video. A queue of over 8000 people? Absolutely ridiculous. They made the platform free, to let us "taste" it so once we got hooked on the program, it's difficult to back out, almost as if it were an addiction. For goodness sake, the site is fun, very fun, damn, I spent a month there and 8-9 hours a day every day and I stress EVERY day, it was probably the period in which I used the PC the most ever. Now once their pricing plan is in place, the "poor" have to settle for crumbs, while those with more financial resources can afford to pay $95 a month (which is almost $1200 a year) for longer uploads and unlimited videos, as it was before, during the Beta version of the site, including short uploads, ok, they weren't instant, but at most 12 minutes and the video was ready, in the evening it even took 4-5 minutes per video, despite "2000 and more" people before me. Now instead there are always 4000-5000 people, always, and a video (80% of the time wrong) is created in 25-30 minutes, the normal one, because the one with the photo takes the length of a film. I would have accepted $95, but also $100 a year, but guys, this is bordering on the ridiculous, almost $100 a month? to produce 6 second videos? The thing that makes me laugh and cry is that they also plan annual rates, I can already imagine the prices, if they ask for $95 for a month, for a year they will surely ask for $300-400. Unfortunately, this is how it goes and I don't think they will go back, in fact, it can only get worse, soon even the $10 subscription (which is now $10, but will surely increase to $15, since I believe that the price of $10 is a temporary offer) will no longer make sense, and they will force you to the monthly one. Was the free buffet good? Do you want more? Well, fork over the big bucks! That's how PSN was on PS3 that became a paid subscription on PS4 (with various price increases over time). It's the sad reality and you have to deal with it.

From: guest (Heyta1) , 1 months, post #1271
If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about this site no one wants to pay for anything. They want everything for free haha.

From: ZeroSuitLink , 1 months, post #1272
I dont mind paying for good services but the amount they are asking for is atrocious for the amount of misses you receive. If they could somehow show you a super small version of your video generation first and only take the credits when you save the full quality version, thst would help a lot and i wouldn't mind with how often you get duds

From: hskfmn , 1 months, post #1273
So most folks here are pretty much done then, huh?

From: guest (chronicstuss) , 1 months, post #1274
For those still fiddling with the site, I did find an interesting way to get the AI to create a video in the style of certain directors. If you add at the beginning of the prompt something like: "Wes Anderson style" it will try create the video in the style most associated with that director. I think it does a decent job trying to replicate the style of the particular director. Like the Wes Anderson style videos have that colors and quirky architecture he's known for. If you put in Stanley Kubrick, it has more of a 70's vibe. And if you wanted to see what Kurosawa would do with your prompt, it'll let you do that too. Kind of nerdy, but it's interesting to see how the AI interprets each director's style. I think it helps to keep the references more generic so that the computer fills in the rest. (As opposed to a very specific prompt.

And I hope like everyone else that they come up with plans that most people can afford. The unlimited pricing is a big commit.

From: guest (chronicstuss) , 1 months, post #1275
Sorry, should have left some examples. Same prompt yielded the following different results.

Wes Anderson style.

Stanley Kubrick style.

Brian De Palma style.

And, not the best transformation but the setting the AI chose for the Michael Bay prompt is very on brand.

@Heyta1

Maybe you are wealthy and can afford to spend $100 monthly on AI, but a lot of people can't afford to do that. I don't want free stuff, but damn, make it a fair price. $20 a month is too little for them? Do you know how many subscriptions you can pay for with $100 a month? Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Disney... you can pay for all of these together with $100 and still have some money left over. It's not about being cheap or demanding free stuff, but damn, at least make the price accessible to everyone. Imagine if every PS5/Xbox game cost $300, who would buy them? Only those who can afford them, by doing so you prevent a lot of people who don't have that much money from buying them. Paying is fair, especially for things and services that are of interest to you, but when someone asks for too much, you have to take a moment to see if it is worth it and above all if you can afford it.

From: guest (Heyta1) , 1 months, post #1277
Actual, I paid for the 10 dollar one.,

From: guest , 1 months, post #1278
The new subscription model is causing a ton of traffic. When all of this started, you had to wait a few minutes for the video to generate. Now, with the new queue functionality, the number of videos being requested at once go up to thousands, and you must wait hours for the prompt to even go in, and yet, there's still the possibility that the filter just straight up deletes your video. It's awful now.

From: Shapeshifterry , 1 months, post #1279
@Heyta1

Okay but let's say that one day they take all the benefits of the $10 version, forcing you to pay $95 a month, would you support that amount every month?

From: guest (QL) , 1 months, post #1280
@Heyta1
First, why pay? It's ultimately not that important and I don't need 100 different subscriptions to things. Second, the problem is that they're kneecapping the free tier to get people to pay the more expensive tiers... preferably the $99 one just to basically do the exact same thing everyone was able to do a week ago for free. Why not just keep the free tier as it already was and the paid tier at faster generating and longer clips? Why would I pay $99 a month to do something I was already doing? And on the free/non-$99 tiers, you absolutely know that they're going to count failures (the ones where it says that your prompt didn't meant their guidelines or whatever) towards whatever you can make for the day/month meaning that that you'll be out the credits with no video to show for it.

What's going to probably happen is that most people are going to just abandon it and whatever they make in subscriptions won't really be enough to cover the costs... although who knows how much of a problem that'd actually be for them since, like all Chinese companies, it's likely tied to the government in some way.
