For April Fools today, when you travel to certain major cities in
any of the Guild Wars expansions (such as the city of Lion's Arch),
your character's gender is changed while in town.

I have the original guild wars and I'm not seeing this. Which towns

If the original title (game) doesn't include this 'feature'...
perhaps the entry title here should be changed to reflect that it
only relates to the expansions or a particular city(ies).
Could also be that the game runs on a GMT clock, at which point,
after 7pm Central Savings Time, it would be April 2.
I don't play the game, so I haven't a clue about what the answer
really is.

@mobster named jerk: It's free to play online. Just buy one of the
campaigns(Prophecies: $30, Factions $49, Nightfall $60) and that's
it.
