You call us Selfish huh, think about that for a moment would you, I
have dial-up now, the file is ohh I say ~200mb, I connect at 38.4
kb/s normaly but file transfer is at 4kb/s MAX upload, now lets do
some math here and try and keep up. 1 mb = 1024kb, 200 * 1024 =
204,800kb, now 204,800 / 4 = 51,200 seconds, 51200 / 60 = 835
minutes 20 seconds or so. Lets make it easier and convert that to
hours 835 / 60 = about 13 hours 55 minutes and 20 seconds, now
thats only if one person at a time downloads it and thats at peak
conditions. So now multiply that time by however many people are
leeching, and I am constantly using the internet so it would be at
best 2 kb/s upload which would double the time to about 26 hours
multiplied by users and internet lag and so on.
I hope you get the idea, its not being selfish but meerly
technological limitations, and just think how POed those people
will be that they cant quickly get a file and have to recieve it at
less then 1kb a second due to everyone that has it, it would take
several days at the least. Then I would get a ton of email from
people who are mad cause they cant get the file fast enough.

reason you use irc is because its harder so

Yes, I have done Large stuff on it to, but if you READ above, it
will tell you why I dont, cause so many will get POed at me,
including my family who also use the computer.
