Description
Charlie Brewster is convinced that his new neighbor Jerry Dandridge
(Chris Sarandon) is a vampire, so he enlists the help of horror
show host Peter Vincent. At first no one believes him, until Peter
catches a glimpse and sees that Jerry's reflection isn't there in
the mirror.
Charlie's best friend Evil Ed Thompson is also turned into a
vampire as well as being turned into a wolf later on, he is turned
back to normal after Peter Vincent kills him.
His girlfriend Amy is also bitten by Jerry and is turned into a
vampiress and goes through several stages of transformation into
one, the final one being the scary looking one with the red eyes,
wild hair, claws and teeth which is actually a recycled version of
the Librarian ghost puppet from Ghostbusters (which got rejected
because it was too frightening)
Jerry also gets hit by sunlight in the end and turns into a bat
creature.
