Description
In the chapter/episode 'Pig and Pepper', Alice notes how
bad-tempered the Duchess and the cook are (later she attributes
this to the pepper pervading the room), and how hateful they are to
the baby. After the Duchess leaves to play croquet with the Queen
of Hearts, Alice snatches the baby, concerned for its survival.
While walking through the woods carrying the baby, it changes into
a pig. Alice decides she wants nothing more to do with the
baby/pig, and lets it trot away, remarking that it was an ugly
child but makes a handsome pig.
