Description
The alien from "Alien Solution" escaped, possessed a male cop, but
when the cop was killed by the Superboy, the alien tried to take
over him, but was ejected. It took the closest body, Superboy/Clark
Kent's father, Jonathan Kent. When Superboy finally realized that
his father was been possessed by the cloud/energy alien, he offered
his own body to the alien.
But Superboy already few steps ahead when the alien took his body,
with kryptonite ray in the lab waiting for the alien/Superboy, and
then cryogenic freezer that waiting for the alien to exit
Superboy's body, and freeze the gaseous alien into solid ice, then
shattered into pieces.
