Description
A must read trilogy of books - in this first novel Geds companion
Serret, the daughter of a sorceress of Osskil, transforms into a
gull to escape a ground pursuit. But winged creatures follow her.
Ged transforms into a Hawk and flies to her defense but he is too
late - she has been killed in gull form.
The dark flying beasts then set upon Ged but he flees - flying out
over the sea. He flys far and eventually arrives at the home of
Ogion who takes him in. Ged has been in hawk form for too long and
has lost himself - Ogion must undo the change and slowly bring back
Geds humanity.
This is just a small section of one of the novels - the trilogy
itself is very rich and well worth reading.
