Description
A "silhouette film" produced in 1925 (silent).
Prince Achmed battles the forces of evil to rescue his betrothed
and to save his sister from the clutches of the African Sorcerer.
There are several minor transformations the african sorcerer
performs in order to kidnap Prince Achmed's betrothed (Peri Banu)
and sell her to the Caliph as a slave as well as ensnare his sister
(the Princess Dinarzade) to make her his wife. However, in one of
the main battle sequences the african sorcerer fights the Fire
Mountain Witch (an ally of the Prince) both transforming into a
variety of animal and mythological forms in rapid sequence in order
to gain the upper hand.
