Honestly, I can't say that I've missed FM very much. It was often
weeks (sometimes months) between quality stories being posted
there. And (like a lot of tf sites/communities) it seemed to be
very much an exclusive insiders' club.
I found a pretty decent source for various transformation stories
on deviantart--most stuff not found anywhere else. You have to dig
some through the search functions, but there are some real gems
(I'm particularly fond of Max and the Magic Lens epic). I've even
brave enough to post a handful of half-completed stories there.

Once again, the TF has been offered help in all sorts of ways, some
of them infeasible, some of them quite feasible. I don't know if
anyone has asked them about a mirror, specifically, but given the
offers they have refused so far, I suspect they wouldn't allow it.
There are other fiction sites on the web, and I would absolutely
encourage their use. FM is, however, one of the most extensive.
They are the stewards to literally thousands of stories. The loss
of those stories is, I think, what most of us feel most keenly --
there's certainly no problem posting stories elsewhere.

I have been searching for quite sometime now for some new gender
transformations in movies, animes, and tv series.

CJ, can you un-attach this thread to the "She is Me" entry? I doubt
the two are connected.

Well, it looks like they've closed off the fmstories backdoor for
reaching stories. I'm beginning to believe that FM is gone for
good. It's been too long and there have been too many excuses.

In that case we just have to believe.

See? It's comments like sifodyasjr's above which illustrate why it
is so important for FM's caretakers to get it back ASAP, no matter
the consequences. Earlier, it was mentioned there was a second
option for getting the site back up, but FM's people found it
loathsome. Again, because it was never spelled out, what was so bad
about Option 2? Would the site be pay? Would it have to run pr0n
banners? Would control be given up to a third party?
FM is losing readers at this very moment. If its creators hope to
see it survive, it has to come back now.

On your final point JAFO, even though FM will most likely have lost
a number of readers. If it were made a pay site, i feel that it
would lose a heck of a lot more, myself included.

It is a hobby site, it doesn't matter that it might lose readers.
They don't make any money from readers. Heck, it was it's
popularity that brought it down.

Ah yes. I fully understand this current "slump" in veiwers is due
to the *cough* large *cough* absence of the site. I do however know
that some sites (not TG related, just others) have gone down, only
to come back up as a pay site. This i feel would truly be the end
of FM
But lets not get down! Too many people want it to stay and so i
doubt it will go.

What would be great is to have a website similar to something like
Digg that links to individual transformation stories no matter
where they are located on the internets, and the stories could be
sortable by the types of transformations they are tagged with.

It was such a good idea I decided to make it happen.

I probably need to add categories, etc, so if you see something
missing or that could be categorized better (keeping in mind a
limit of 18 categories) let me know.

What brought it down was simple. NOTHING TO DO WITH IT"S SELF.
I know it's burried, but it was very simple. The site that hosted
the main portal took any paying customer... like any other host.
but they set up a Phishing site. SOOOOOO The main ISP's flagged the
host and refused all conection from or threw it. Standerd Operating
Poceedure.
The thin that been tripping us up is that we need a new server and
a new web address. and use indavidualy or in combination will set
off anti phishing alarms. sucks, it does. but it's not a hard fix.
All the files are still out there, and it was never and issue of
trafic.

I think (emphasis on think), that what he means is that someone
bought the domain name to FM and turned it into a phishing site.
(This is a site that looks like a real one e.g amazon.com but is
actually fake and gets customers to give out their info.)
The ISP then flaged the domain as a phishing site and so it was
blocked.
I think this is what Go0se means and i think he is wrong.

No! WTH The Physical box FM was hosted on you toad. It has the
majic power to host more then one site at a time. MAGIC! and this
magic box lets call it at server eh? got a customer that ran
phishing and so every one related suffers.
this is becuase bad people know there doing bad and so when they
get caught the play dead. the only way to stop them is to catch
anything they slip up on. AKA anything that has and APEARENT
relation to it.
