Jut what I saw at TG-Fiction. I'd guess we'll see it back by New
Year.

Is anyone else noticing that (speaking of down websites) The Wotch
doesn't seem to be functioning either?

Just relaying another message that Carol Collins posted at
TG-Fiction.
--------------------
Please withhold the gratitude until the new server is open for
business.
The server is in place and most everything is ready except for some
files that
were on the older machine. As soon as we retrieve it and extract
those files,
they can be sent electronically to Talea, formerly known as
Steffen, who will
put fm back on line.
It has required a coordinated effort by the Task Force and Glamour
Boutique to
get as far as we have. Hopefully, there will be no more problems
and fm will
return to us all within a few days.
FMForever,
Carol Collins

can't... wait... much longer... life force dwindling without
fictionmania....

With this much melodrama, it seems like people could be writing
their own stories. :)

WARNING!
Heresy!
It's just a thought but has anyone else considered Fictionmania
being down temporarily (Hopefully!) is a good thing.
Since FM went offline I've augmented my hunter/gatherer skills,
approached strange new websites, extracted TG/TF material using new
techniques/searches/thought processes to get the TG literature I
need. Heck, I've even developed a rudimentary understanding of how
to search for decent content in Bigclosetr.com, a frighteningly
badly constructed site which I hate unreservedly.
My point is, FM makes it all to easy. Over the past couple of
months we've had to actually think, to try, to strive to get our
"fix".
When it's back up, just remember that there is life beyond FM.

Life beyond Fictionmania? Now THAT is heresy! Life without
Fictionmania is like life without air.
...
OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but I still miss it very much and
can't wait for its return.

Life without Metamorphose.org would be similarly bleak.

Hum, I found here (as well as a lot of other sites) as a result of
FM being down. I might actually stay, although I haven't looked
around yet. I still can't wait for FM to come back up. :} Totally
excellent to hear that the new server will be much faster.

The other day when Metamorphose was down, I was about to have a
fit. I've been lurking for maybe two years, and for this AND FM to
be gone...
It would be a sad day.

Yowch! It's frustrating enough when one place is down. Most of my
entertainment comes from web comics, which is a bit more of a case
of not having all my eggs in one basket, but eh...
Odd think is I miss FM most, but don't even look at it all the
time. I like to save stories & reread them. I usually look through
the site for a few weeks every 6 months or so.. thus far it's been
down twice out of about 6 times I've wanted it. o.O

Found this story a few days ago. Probably the best TG fiction I've
read in years. The psychological aspect and interpersonal
relationships is awesome. I love how the character rejects to being
a girl, then slowly starts to adapt, then goes all out, and then
completely freaks out and regresses. Relationships with friends,
family, and society are explored. Really well written.
Very long read that should hold any fictionmania fan over. At least
the transformation fans.
