I hope they're getting closer!

Not to belabor the issue, but I hope the new server is up and
running soon. My fear is after so long a downtime, writers and
readers will forget/stop caring about FM, and if/when it comes
back, it will die.

Maybe fictionmania being down might be a good thing for some
people. For some people tf/tg fetish give people a sexual feeling.
This sexual feeling is a addiction for some people. Maybe
fictionmania being down gives people a chance to break the
addiction. A few weeks without it gives people the knowledge that
they can live without this addiction. But in the end the addiction
wins! Fictionmania please come back soon.

Until the very end I thought you weren't joking, Ky. You just
spared yourself a rant ;)

By now everybody should be through the D.T.s, which could
themselves be a source of inspiration...

if you have a link to one of the stories (ie
www.fmstories.com/stories/subject/storyname.txt) you can actually
still view it as far as i'm aware, unless it's still in my cache,
nope just tested it, so my theory (which isnt a theory because i
just did a working example) holds up

Vickie Tern posted a note at the Yahoo Group, TG-Fiction,
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TG_Fiction/
She said that the FM Task Force was working on it and was aiming to
bring back FM by Xmas.

Hey I'm looking for a story written not to long ago, l only got to
read half of it and it's tearing me up not knowing how it ended. If
anyone can help, I would be eternally grateful. The story is one
where a few DnD role players are starting up characters and one of
them makes a hyper sensitive, super busty thief and, well you know,
they enter the game and he becomes she and things lead to this and
that. Oh and l think they have to kill a dragon or a wizard? I
would love to finish that story. my email is whisper22@gmail.com

Wish they would hurry up and bring it back! In the mean time, an
update from Donnie would be nice!

Do Not Feed the Trolls.
They're like an absurdly annoying version of stray pets, they only
come back if you keep giving them handouts~

Hmmmmm.
I hear what you're saying aash, but if we don't feed the poor
trolls they'll starve and die out, suffering an awful protracted,
agonizing death.
Oh.
Enlightenment!

Carolyn Collins (an FM Task force member) posted this on The
TG-Fiction Yahoo Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TG_Fiction/
-----------------------------------------------
Season's Greetings,
It is almost midnight on Christmas Eve.
I thought that everyone should know that fm has a new home. The new
server has
been leased and the www.fictionmania.com name is being transferred.
We are
waiting to retrieve some of the old server files to make the new
server look
like the old one in most every way except speed and connectivity.
The new
server, when it is fully functional, will be much faster.
