Well, it has been a good road, and a lot of us have found some
really
good friends here, but today 1.March.2008 marks the closing of what
was original TGTFGames, and later became TF Gaming Workshop.
There are a number of reasons this is closing, but most of them
come
to time, money, code problems, and server issues. I know a few of
you
will be really disappointed that this has happened, so suddenly
also,
but those who know me personally know I haven't done this without a
heavy heart, and some sadness.
As they say, sometimes you have to sacrifice hobbies to move
forward
and deal with the other things in your life that you need to do.
This isn't the end, I will be back, and next time things will be a
lot
different, but until then I have to say thank you to everyone who
really helped make this community what it was. I'm sorry to you all
that I have had to pull the community down, but there was no one
who
could take over the administration of the site, and there were some
major bugs starting to appear in the cracks which the move of
server
started to open wide.
To all the moderators, and the game creators, you have been the
best
and greatest support for the site then any other, and I thank you
from
the bottom of my heart that you supported this site with your time,
your effort, and your creations.
Moving forward from this day, I am leaving the Yahoo site of
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tgtfgames/ up, and this will stay as
a
way of the community getting in contact with each other and
continuing
if they wish. I will also be looking at next steps, a better forum
software, and better design, but this will not be until 2009. The
games are backed up, so if any of the game creators need their
games
(ie - they didn't keep a backup) please let me know. I also have
the
database, so I might be able to get certain poasts and data from
the
database if required, upon request and if I am not busy. Please use
the yahoo site to contact me if you wish to do so, or email me on
goldendawn_69@....
For those interested: Donations supplied to this site were posted
on
to Geekgirl, the server owner before the close of this account.
This
was to cover costs of running the site for as long as we did on her
servers.
Again sorry for having to close the site... but over all we have
had a
great run, over 3 years!
I won't forget you, and I will be at the Yahoo site when I can.
