Doctor Who

British science-fiction television program about the adventures of a Time Lord and his companions, who travel through space and time in what appears outwardly to be an old, blue, police call-box called a TARDIS. ===Actors who have played the Doctor=== First Doctor - William Hartnell (1963&#821 ...more

Another thing that occurs to me: the character is 900 or so years old. Doesn't that mean every actor is too younbg to play the Doctor? :-)

So when are we going to see a female Doctor? Where's the equal rights lawyers/banisters going to force BBC to at least try to give us a beautiful, sexy and hot female Doctor?

There was a female doctor in the 1999 story called "Curse of the Fatal Death" starring Rowan Atkinson as the Doctor. Joanna Lumley also stars as the Doctor in this story.

900 year old actor to play the Doctor?
Hmm.. tricky.
I've got it! The perfect actor. He's American, he's over here in the UK doing pantomime and he might actually need botox to youthen his appearance down to 900.
Laydees and Gentlepeeps, I give you Mickey Rooney.
Alternatively, there's Henry (the Fonz) Winkler, Steve Guttenberg, Stephanie Powers....

Personally, what I want is a new 'Five Doctors'-type episode. Even if it was only some of the previous incarnations, it could work. Sylvester McCay, Paul McGann, Chris Eccleston, David Tennant and our current guy (who,so far, isn't half bad in the role) could make for a splendid show...and maybe even see some of the older companions again. What do you all think?

It's in the works. There's a story outline in the exec producers desk (or rather his hard-drive) involving the recent doctors in separate story arcs where they would be brought together to stop a surprise foe (Okay maybe its not a surprise if its Rassilon). Interestingly, if there 's a scheduling conflict with the recent actors there's a possiblity of bringing back older Doctors with new actors cast in the established roles of the characters.

the mr bean episode is a parody. I think it was another comedy show in britain, but the details are here and can be seen on youtube. It was kinda funny but it wasn't a "regular" dr who series/serial. I'd personally like to see this happen to, but then is "she" going to have a female or male companion? I mean its a big change I don't see happening outside paradies

They used to say that the Doc could only regenerate 12 times. Lately they have not mentioned any limit at all, now that there has been about 12 Doctors.

11 doctor is the current. Maybee 13 is the lucky number to cross the gender fence
