Alan Barrie book A Woman's Passion
Gender
The enchanting memoir of a man who spends a fascinating, edifying, romantic, and sexy week as a woman.

hey alan, loved AWP! check into selling sunday game through canadian amazon.
I understand their rules are more lenient than in the usa. and there are plenty of books published in america for teens that deal in teenaged sex. if you clearly state it is clearly for over 18's, i see no cause for alarm. they are fictional, not real people. but check with a lawyer to be sure. it sound like a book we would like to read! what is the transformation in it?

I don't know how I missed this book before. From the earlier posts, I guess it has been out quite a while. It is by far the best gender change book I have ever read. I bought the pdf version. But I think I'm going to get the paperback too just in case I ever lose the pdf file.

I'm a big supporter of this book. This excerpt (I posted the link under the entry on this website) sold me. I believe there are 2 passages; one from the beginning and one from the middle. I'm not into cross dressing or CD stories but I love it when the writing describes what if feels like to physically be female and how it feels to wear the clothes. You'll find those descriptions in the excerpt. This book has a great psychological evolution. The transforme is willing but hesitant to explore this transformation. By the end he/she embraces it. There's a great dream sequence when the character remembers being in a class in college but this time as a girl. Hope this helps. It's worth buying. I really really really really wish Alan Barrie would write another story like this.

Hi, Everyone!

This post didn't seem to go through this morning, so I'm trying again.

I'm sorry I haven't been on this board for awhile. Thanks, again for all your support. Thanks to Billie, Tina, and ferd for your kind words.

For those interested in these things, sales of A WOMAN'S PASSION have been steady by slow (down to less than 20 per month for the last few months). That's been true since that big surge of about a year ago, the etiology of which I never was able to track down.

I'll try to answer a few of your questions.

My publisher, booklocker.com, has taken down its 2/3rds free offer. But I have a MSWord version that I have cut down. It's more than 2/3rds of the book. I'll send it free to anyone who wants. Just write to alanbarrie@yahoo.com. I'll password protect the document with "alanbarrie" ... without the quote marks ... so only you can open it .. and you can always come back here to find the password if need be. This version probably has a few typos that were picked up later ... but they shouldn't interfere with you getting a sense of the book. This will be a very long piece ... almost the whole book ... much bigger than the little sample theSaint posted.

I don't think booklocker.com accepts paypay. But don't hesistate to go on their website, get their latest price for the pdf versions, and just mail them a money order with an email address to which to send the pdf ebook. They are VERY reputable.

No new tg or metamorphose books in the works. Frankly, too busy with my straight fiction under another name (which pays a lot better!).

Yours,

Alan Barrie

Good to hear from you CAS!

It's still my favorite TG fiction of all time. Sad to hear no plans for any new tg or metamorphose stories.

Just a warning. If you write to him, Alan does send you the excerpt as promised above.

But, of course, the excerpt ends just as a really good scene is heating up. So, of course, you're compelled to go buy the book. (But, I went on to booklocker.com and got the pdf version so it wasn't very expensive...and I had the whole end in my hands in a matter of minutes.)

Excuse just a little bit of self-promotion.

A WOMAN'S PASSION is now available...

--in trade size paperback and Kindle ebook editions on Amazon.com
--in trade size paperback and Nook ebook editions on bn.com
--in trade size paperback and pdf editions on booklocker.com

Amazon also offers a free software download that allow Kindle editions to be read on PCs and smartphones.

And yes, I will still send a truncated pdf edition for FREE to any metamorphose reader who writes to be at alanbarrie@yahoo.com.

sequel!

Has anyone here bought A WOMAN'S PASSION in the Kindle or Nook editions?

I have neither ... and have no idea how the novel looks/reads in an ebook edition on one of those readers ... and am curious.

Alan

I bought the ebook and the paperback. The former was simply a pdf file. I read it originally on a palm pilot and then later on my iPhone. Can't speak for the Kindle or Nook version but at the top and bottom of the page there is a gray running the width. The top alternates between an italic "A WOMAN'S PASSION" (justification left) and "Alan Barrie" (right). The bottom has the page number.

From: guest (TheSaint137) , 158 months, post #55
I meant to say "gray bar" running the width.

From: guest (CAS) , 158 months, post #56
Thanks, Saint.

But I'd still like to hear from someone who had a kindle and/or nook edition.

Suspect the author is making most of these posts. Never have I seen such a mediocre book posted about so much

From: kreplach , 158 months, post #58
I don't see anything wrong with seeking feedback from your potential audience. Sorry you didn't like the book, Stop it, but other people may want to discuss it here.

I'm not the author nor do I have any connection.

From: guest (TheSaint137) , 158 months, post #59
I'm not the author either but I'm a big fan. I wouldn't compare AWP to literature but as a MtF metamorphosis story it's probably the closest I have come to a vicarious experience.

And you've got a point: 10 months between posts is a little over the top. Sorry.

From: guest (CAS) , 158 months, post #60
I'm sorry you didn't like my book, "Stop It Already." Each to his own.

I went back and counted. And I have posted 9 times in this string started by someone else over 100 months ago.

I don't think that is excessive. And I had a specifically stated reason each time I did so.

But I will stop now.
