Comment: Norman Bridwell, "Clifford the Small Red Puppy"
Norman Bridwell book Clifford the Small Red Puppy
Size
This is the origin story of Clifford the Big Red Dog, back when he was just a small red puppy. He was originally the runt of the litter (only about 3 inches tall) but thanks to the love of Emily Elizabeth (and it seems some kind of magic) Clifford grows larger and larger, until he is about 25 feet ...more

I questioned adding this one... but as Kitsune states, "The growth in size is too quick for it to be a natural change."

If anyone thinks this shouldn't be included, this is the place to tell me.

I vote no...the change seemed to take place over several months, and although this is a fanciful children's book, there was no kind of magic involved.

I can only remember that commerical... "It's got to be the puppy chow."

To me, it seems to be a transformation, but I guess that it is open to discussion.

I think the fact that the dog ends up the size of a house should qualify as a TF, regardless of the time frame or trigger of the change.

Unless, of course, gigantic dogs are part of the Clifford canon. In that case, I'm bowing out of the discussion before I get a headache.

>>>"Unless, of course, gigantic dogs are part of the Clifford canon. "
That's just my thing, they aren't. If there where other giant dogs in the Clifford Universe, I wouldn't consider this a TF, but here it is that Clifford is a runt that grows to well over 10x the size of any other dog in their universe. In fact, Clifford's parents and siblings are the size of normal dogs.

As Emily Elizabeth has said, "My dog is the biggest and the reddest dog ever!"

I mean, if this doesn't count then I don't think that Attack of the 50 Foot Women should count either.
