Mesmer's Bauble is one of my favorite transformations. Amazing
scene for 1980s television.
I was always curious about the transformation into Vanity after he
makes his wish to be her. It looks like their bodies merge, but I
always thought it was a bit ambiguous how it happened. Do you
think:
1) He got absorbed into her body
2) His body morphed into her while her body melted away
3) Something else?

It was an example of body horror. I think her insides dissolve as
he enters her skin.

I think his spirit pushed hers out & he took over her body. looking
in the mirror later he'S also wearing her ring.
I always wished it would have been a body swap with Ryan & mickie
saving 'angelic' fro the mad stalker
The bauble is also on fictionmania in the Story MADONNA AND THE
CURSE OF THE BAUBLE

I remember seeing this episode the very first time it aired. It is
excellent. I think that he got absorbed into her body. At the end,
you can see her flesh splitting revealing him.

But if you watch closely, when "Angelica" approaches the mirror she
has goo on her shoulders so I think his body morphed into hers
while her body melted away before disappearing in a big flash of
light. Also, big pile of goo on floor when Ryan and his cousin
broke into the apartment.

To note, when he/she goes to the mirror, the first part of the
laugh seems to be his voice which then becomes hers. I'd say he
"melts" into her and takes over.
