I had to move post 440 from the previous thread to this new one -
so I could redirect everyone to this new thread.

I agree with Bud... the filmmaking is disappointingly amateurish,
as evidenced by the clumsy scene transitions. The handling of the TG
element will probably be a letdown as well to participants on this
board... it's basically a lukewarm rehash of SWITCH. So many missed
opportunities for humour and sexiness! Even the supposedly
jaw-droppingly sexy outfit that Sam wears in the final scenes is
actually a pretty modest, ordinary-looking dress. One (small) point
in the film's favour: I liked how it handled the obligatory bit
where the gender-flipped main character has to convince his best
friend of who he really is. I appreciated how long it takes for the
friend to accept that this very-hard-to-believe transformation has
taken place--several days, in fact! Stacy Keach gives probably the
best performance in the film as the magical shopowner who causes
Sam's metamorphosis.

Really lame - barely any exploration with the M2F transformation.
Looks like a college film project too.

So, metamorphose can only handle 440 posts per thread or are we now
gonna aim for 440 Sam threads?

It's not good. A few scenes are good enough for a starved
community, but definitely a weak movie.
As a movie 3 out of 10
For TG 5 out of 10 (Couple good moments but doesn't make up for
what could have been)

Wouldn't say it is like Switch, more like any Rom-Com lately. Self
involved Tom-boyish girl never notices that her true love has
always been her friend so gets makeover than has to win him back,
ugh. On;y difference is instead of Tom Boy, you start with Boy but
still same lame plot. And as others mentioned there are a few low
budget looking screen and sound issues. If you want another
rom-com, might be worth for TG, nothing to see here.

I really don't get the hate for this film, sure it felt more like a
youtube film than an actual movie but it was really good. I'd give
it a 8/10

I didn't watch the whole movie, just the TG scenes, but I freaking
loved this scene (and others). There was a lot of scenes showing
the chick dressing in tights and dresses. Usually we don't see this
so much in body swap/transformation movies nowadays.
The girl character in the movie was a really girly girl.

For everybody hating on this film I'm curious what their high
standard is. And I'm talking movie. Switch? Cleo/Leo? I've heard
some people say there was hardly an TG element. Really? The whole
transformation is kind of the elephant in the room in every scene.
I'm looking forward to The Sex Trip. Seems like more of a riskier
version that takes some risks and has a slicker presentation. But
still, SAM's ending gives it bonus points in my book. Straight out
of some of my Fictionmania stories.

"So, metamorphose can only handle 440 posts per thread..."
I don't know... but post #441 would have made the Message Board
list listing too long with the 23rd page. I didn't catch it at post
439, so I had to move post 440, to keep the thread from having 23
pages. I probably should have stopped the thread at 20 pages, but I
didn't think we'd be so talkative about it.
I'm glad to see that we're getting plenty of conversation out of
this release, and so sad to hear that it didn't quite seem to meet
everyone's expectations.
I'm also glad that nobody has posted any un-marked spoilers. I've
got my DVD pre-ordered, so I'll just wait until it arrives before I
judge it. I was going to spring for a stream to catch it before the
DVD... but I think I'll just wait now.

Natalie Knepp is a toothpick. Ellen Barkin in her prime was one
sexy lady. Argument over.

Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder, as it is a very
subjective thing. I may be in the minority here, but I, for one,
greatly prefer the looks of Miss Knepp to those of Ms Barkin.
But I know better than to argue over appearances and opinions,
because often, there's no way either side really wins. :-)

Is this movie cheaper on amazon or iTunes. I know someone mentioned
it on YouTube also. I'm sure it's probably the same on all
platforms. I'm looking for a regular download. Amazon.com has it
for 9.99 for the dvd.
Thanks
