It is strangely fun. I've played the Pokemon games through my life and when I saw ads for the app, I was kinda like, "I'm sure I'll download it, but maybe only use it every once in a while." I was surprised how much I actually liked it considering how "minimalistic" it is compared to the Game Boy/Nintendo DS games I played since I was a kid. And Niantic has said that trading will soon become an option. I hope that they continue to add content to this app.

I wanna say one other thing, and as (bb) said, this isn't TF content, but in terms of the community building which I'm always hoping happens on this board, I think that the advent of Pokemon Go has showed that you can 12 years old, or 30 years old...if you pass someone on the street and you see each other playing Pokemon Go, there's this instant feeling of amity. I like that.

It's fun, it's nostalgic, and it's encouraged me to go outside and walk around. I've only been playing casually, but I've been walking 3-7 more miles per day since downloading it.

I'm sure in five years we'll all be laughing about how far the IR technology has come in the meantime, though.

Okay, did a bit of research. Pokemon TF isn't a TF, they are evolutions. Therefore no TF content.

That said, I will leave this here as it seems to be of interest to several members of the community... unless there are more dissenting views than supporting (be civil about it, and short and to the point if you think this thread should be locked or removed).

I don't see how an individual can "evolve" as it's not an ontological process but rather a species-wide process that takes place over generations. If a caterpillar comes out of a chrysalis, that's a transformation, but then I don't follow Pokemon so maybe I should shut up.

The weekend it came out people were walking around zombie-like in droves in my town, staring at their devices, crossing the street blithely unaware like ducks at a shooting gallery (even 10pm on a Sunday), so I suppose that's a kind of transformation. One woman flipped her car, caromed into several others and fled the scene in front of where I live. Some onlookers claimed she was hunting Pokemons. I don't know if it was true but it was very strange here that weekend.

Agree with guest #9. "Evolvution" is an in-universe phrase in Pokemon to describe what is more commonly understood as transformation here. So yeah, it's transformation related thingy.

I would argue the semantics of our definitions of evolution vs transformation against the definitions of those same concepts in the Pokemon universe... but I don't think that it's worth the trouble. :-)

If there's an growing concern that this thread doesn't belong (which I'm not seeing)... well, then it might be worth it. Unless that happens, I'm just going to leave it alone.

Ditto transforms into whatever Pokemon it is fighting. It can change gender too. So that counts as a TF
