"CJ
So I have been lurking the forums for years now, but this the very
first time I have ever posted and it will be my last, because I
intend to go back to just lurking after this. I would send this
directly to you CJ, but as far as I can tell, there is no private
messaging type of feature here. I expect this post to be deleted,
but hopefully you at least get to see it first. If not, oh well,
that's cool too.
CJ, I get you're like the big cheese of the forums around these
parts, but you have been consistently acting more and more like you
have some kind of superiority complex other users on this forum or
at the very least taking your bad mood out on others. I've seen you
posting for years now and I don't know what has changed with you,
but these past several months you have been acting kind of
ridiculous as of late(especially to users you may have not
interacted with before). Not everyone speaks/writes perfect English
and I literally could not come up with a more condescending
response if I tried to OP than what you have already provided. Saw
you did the same thing in another thread earlier today(perhaps
yesterday -time zones), but you edited it out, I think. Your
condescending attitude has been absolutely and utterly atrocious
for the past like, I don't know, at least 6 months? What is up with
you man? Like if you are going through shit, I'm sorry, but that's
your problem and shouldn't be taken on others. I honestly feel like
your response's main goal was to be as condescending as possible
and, sadly, that seems to almost the norm with you lately.
Anyway, I'm not going to write a novel about this "observation" and
I have every intention of keeping this my one and only post on this
forum, but the way you responded really irked me in a bad way.
Usually I'm a pretty chill guy, but I don't know, something about
your behavior lately has been getting under my skin. If you are
having troubles IRL or have a bad day, that sucks, I know, but
don't take that shit out on others. They don't deserve that and I
know I'm a bit of a hypocrite saying this, but I'm also not the
main face of this community; Paul may own the site, but you are the
face of it, like it or not. I implore you to think about that a bit
before you attempt to make others feel bad about posting here.
There's still a huge stigma when it comes to TF-related material
and discussion and you should be helping people feel comfortable
talking about it here and not being passive-aggressive towards them
because the title wasn't quite up to par - English isn't even my
native language and it took me years and years to be able to write
like this and I'm still learning everyday; not everyone is going to
understand how to write proper English.
That's all though, like I said, I won't be replying or anything
like that; I just really had to get this thing off my chest that
has been bothering me for quite a while now.
Cheers."

I get what you're saying.
As they say, power corrupts. And when there are so few checking and
balancing that power, it makes it difficult at times to see where
the lines are. I welcome these challenges, and it seems that I
still have a ways to go.
I've seen abuse, rules violations, posts from the lazy, the greedy,
the needy, and the thieves... so perhaps my judgement is more
biased than most. I would like to see more posters follow the
Posting Guidelines and help the community out.
As for thinking before posting... I've been much much more of
that... but I am still human, and apt to err.
Thanks for you candor and your concern. I'll keep working on
improving my interactions... especially when moderating.
