Okay, I just finished double-checking the Rejections list.
I was able to un-reject some, but it took quite a bit of time and
effort on my part to fix some of them. Even with that, there are
more than a handful of new submissions that even I am unable to
easily fix.
So, if you've submitted something and still don't see it in the
database - check the Rejections
page, and see if your item is listed.
If it is, and you don't understand why - please ask so we can help
you get the item properly submitted.
I've seen a few new items that were submitted as changes to
existing pages. New items need to be submitted via the Submit link
on the left-hand menu.
I've also seen few items that were submitted as thought they are
being advertised on TV, or outright plagiarism of Amazon, IMDB, or
Wikipedia. If you don't describe why the item belongs here, it will
be rejected. If you copy the description directly from another
site, it will be rejected.
If we don't have enough information to verify that the title
exists, it will likely be rejected. Please provide enough
information that we can try to find the material.
Lots of submissions that show up like they do on the message
board... a youtube link and little else. If you want credit for a
submission, then please submit the title and a description, and
appropriate categories - otherwise, your submission will likely be
rejected as incomplete.
Hopefully, this post is helpful for those who submit new material,
or have rejected submissions.
Again, if there are any questions about rejected submissions,
please ask. Thanks!
