Merging the two popular Disney XD series "Lab Rats" and "Mighty Med," bionics meet superpowers to form one incredible team when "Lab Rats: Elite Force" premieres WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2 (8:30-9:00 p.m. EST) on Disney XD. But the thing that will hopefully be good for us Booboo Stewart ("Descendants") and Ryan Potter ("Big Hero 6") guest star as teenage shapeshifters Roman and Riker. Its a few weeks away but i thought i put a thread on this to get the world out.

After waching many promos of this upcoming episode of Lab Rats, I formuated this conclusion. The villains to me are not considered shapeshifters. Reason why I say this is they can only transform there bodies into clouds,tornadoes that produce lightning and very strong winds.This ability closely resembles atmokinesis than shapeshifiting. I hope I'm wrong though.

I still believe they're shapeshifters. It says on the wiki they are able to shapeshift to "deceive others". Anyway, one more week to wait.

Atmokinesis = the ability to manipulate the weather
Shape-shifter = the ability to change one's own physical form

X-Men's Storm uses Atmokinesis.
WonderTwins' Zan uses shape-shifting to forms of water.
Looney Toons' Tazmanian Devil uses speed and chaos to create a whirl-wind.
I'm not sure what I'd classify The Mummy 's Mummy / Imhotep's sand storm. Perhaps that is both atmokinesis and shape-shifting... and even elemental and spiritual TF.

Probably shape-shifters for this one.

I see where you getting at cj with the shapeshifting thing due to them actually physically transforming their bodies into a different form. It just urkes me sometimes that the term shapeshifter has so many meanings including werewolf believe or not. Just feels limited in my opinion, anyway you can watch the episode early on DisneyXD Demand on Monday.

One thing of note was Skylar did say shapeshifters could become other people in the episode. Good news is the villains escaped so hopefully in the future we'll see better transformations. I spotted a m2m transformation by one of the shapshifters but this episode also introduced a device known as cyber cloak that can disguise anyone as anyone else they want which the main characters used twice which had a f2m and m2f transformation.
