Helping teach cj how to be less abrasive in posts

Thank barackobrahma... and everyone else, for the appreciation and praise. Makes the time and challenges worth it. :-)

I really do not understand why we're having this discussion. I have seen cj bend over backwards to placate the passive aggressive attacks that have been thrust at him and he's shown A LOT more patience than most anyone. This is someone with integrity, and I, for one, respect that. I don't agree with everything he's done but that doesn't matter - he's doing what he thinks is right. Period. I trust him. That's all anyone has to do. This is a guy with principles. Deal with it. In the words of the great Stan Lee, 'Nuff said.

The reason that we're having the discussion, isn't because someone else was complaining about me... well, okay, I guess it kinda' is. Still, I wanted to open the discussion.

It was really a perfect opportunity to somewhat see myself from another's perspective. Always an interesting thing. And it not only gives me ideas to be a better moderator, but it give you all a chance to help make that happen, and to improve the site in the process.

A win for everyone, in a way.

Thank you for your trust and support FloridaPaul.

I still want CJ to be transformed into a gorgeous blonde woman. He can stay as a moderator if that happens.

Make it so.

From: barackobrahma , 99 months, post #25
If that happens, I want nude pics.

Sheesh... Men! All they think about is sex! :-P

Just want to call out in the Love Arumirai thread a guy asked a one sentence question and you replied with three paragraphs about how that was an inappropriate question. While you tried to word it nicely, just going on that long to a short question from a regular user came across as petty. It looks like you take a certain joy in chiding people. I cannot read your mind, but on the surface it appears like you use your position of power as often as possible, instead of as sparingly as possible.

From: cj , 99 months, post #28
Yeah, I saw that. Just replied to it.

I was just trying to be helpful. Didn't want to assume that they knew of those things.

I can say that that post had nothing to do with power - I would have probably worded that post the same even if I had no power here. I've just been around long enough to know that they could have gotten better help elsewhere with that type of request. ~shrug~

Damned if I don't, damned if I do.

CJ, we still love you man... dont be so harsh! lol

From: Ponjos , 99 months, post #30
cj, listen to critics but never let them convince you that you're less than yourself. I think you're doing fine. Steer clear of those who would tear you down to make themselves look bigger, while listening to those who offer critical advice to help you change to improve yourself.

Remember the phrase; you may please all the people some of the time; you can even please some of the people all the time; but you can't please all of the people all the time.

Good one barackobrahma!

Thanks Ponjos.

Just as an additional note, what made grenzgaenger so great, was when he watched through a serries, he posted every note, no matter how small it was. Some people who use this site don't have as much time to watch through an entire serries. If there is an army of people cataloguing a serries, they should try and include all of the tf content, not just where their interests lie.

From: Lazy , 91 months, post #33
I see CJ doesn't like anything Lazy *puts head in hands and softly weeps* LOL

From: cj , 91 months, post #34
I like Lazy... with a capital "L". :-)

This again. Fine, anyone having a problem with how this place is run can contact Paul and get their money back.

Oh wait, it's free of charge, isn't it?
