Title. What makes m2m content tolerable or acceptable to you?

I prefer f2f. But what make f2m or m2f more tolerable or accept to
you? Why do people always believe their preference is more
tolerable or acceptable?
Take durain for example. Some worship it as the King of fruits.
Others call it shit.
Nothing wrong either way as long as they don't come and say " Hey
why you don't know how to appreciate awesome food" or " Hey why are
you eating that smelly piece of shit"

"Okay" and "tolerable" and "acceptable" aren't the right words, I
think. Not for me, anyway. It's not like I'm offended by M2M
content. It just doesn't interest me.
I'm a transwoman; my interest in TG transformation, and to some
extent F2F transformation, is a kind of vicarious wish fulfillment.
As such, there's nothing about M2M that appeals to me, because I
have no interest in becoming another man. That said, it's not like
I'd shut off a movie or TV show if it has a M2M transformation; it
just won't be any more interesting to me than it would be to the
general viewer.

Hmmm... tolerable -- short and not dwelled upon or a synopsis /
description that clearly states that m2m is the focus, so I can
choose something else or skip the bits that don't interest me.
acceptable -- that the story is in good taste, or to properly
illustrate or to teach. I may be willing to accept fringe stuff, it
is is purely done to please those who must fantasize, but only if
it was done legally and ethically. And as long as I don't have to
watch it.
Now, I think what you were trying to ask is, what would make m2m
content interesting to TG lovers? I can't answer for everyone, but
replacing that second "m" with a "f" is all that it would take to
interest me. :-)
I might also be at least slightly interested if at least one of the
men was actually intersexed / hermaphroditic... or a shape-shifter.
Or perhaps one of the men was or became an actual woman, who was
disguised as a man.

I have lately liked the idea of m2m along with f2f. Both members of
a couple change. That has been holding some appeal lately.

I like mild impersonations while in others and Atrium in
writing.com has pretty good chapters in which the mc gets his body
stolen by another male. It's a turn off if it's a permanent change
though.

I love the idea I don't know where to find stories like that
though. But not gay sex that's what there usually is. I like the
idea of swapping with a neighbor or a friend better to if the
person stole the other ones body. Also a son and dad with the dad
getting to bang his son's girlfriend or wife and the son forced to
have sex with his mom better to if she was older or like a plumper.

Jayzie I like your thinking, care to share some of your faves?
As for me, F2F just doesn't do it for me, since I can't relate to
anything (either the loss of what a man had in M2F or the
comparison to one's self in M2M). I enjoy swaps more as long as
there's a man, and what I enjoy about M2M is a difference in
characteristics. I've been reading more of Young Trevor stuff so
like jock swaps, gain of muscle, personality swaps or the body
overwriting the character (smart-dumb, gay-straight), etc.

I enjoy TG (especially m2f) but I would also enjoy m2m or f2f if it
fits with my other fetish: upgrade/downgrade switch.
There is something sadistic in me enjoy watching other people
suffering from lost of power and privilege... Police becomes hunted
criminal, CEO becomes blue collar worker, athlete becomes weakling
etc...
I guess that also partly explains why I enjoy m2f... because in
most circumstances it would also deal with the lost of power &
privilege... especially if the man is a super successful playboy or
macho man.
Though in mainstream medium, whenever there is gender swap between
a man and a woman normally they would make it looks as if the two
are suffering equally... I believe if it really happened in real
life, even in developed society where there supposed to be gender
equality, if all other factors being equal, the m2f would suffer
more severely than the f2m.

Race/culture change, age change, height/size change, or role/power
change.
Generic white guy swaps with his friend, a similar generic white
guy, isn't particularly interesting. There have to be appreciable
differences.

I also like upgrade/downgrade stuff. Chapters from writer named
"jazza" in "Magic medallion vacation transformation" has cool stuff
I think.

I wonder if the original poster understands that TG doesn't include
m2m transformation. As has been said many times in this thread, m2m
transformations aren't a problem for me, but what I want to see are
m2f transformations.
Ideally, a m2m content would eventually lead to m2f content. For
instance, the main character swaps bodies with another guy, then
gets adventurous and swaps with a girl. Or a guy becomes an alien
who then can transform into a woman. Or a guy swaps bodies with a
wizard, who then uses his magic powers to become a sexy lady.

Nothing in the world would make 2M content remotely interesting to
me. It is very Black & White for me.
To me, it's kind of like asking a heterosexual what would make the
same gender attractive to you? Nothing. (I hope no one interprets
this sentence as homophobic. We live in a very sensitive age on the
internet)
