I think this is one of the biggest dry spells I've ever seen.
Nothing really new to see and watch regarding transformations and
body swaps. Just really quiet in the material department. Kinda
boring. Still waiting on Sam and that independent Japanese
transformation movie.

I keep hoping that if nothing else it will help me break my habit
of checking a whole slew of sites almost compulsively for new
material, but it doesn't. Pity.

I discovered this site during this dry spell. So I'm not even sure
what it's like for it to be normal! Tell me the times of the golden
era, haha.

Well, on the MtF Transformation front, at least there's Satin
Minion's excellent, in-progress "Lighter Chains" comic
(Patreon-supported, but the pages also turn up free a week or so
later on the website) and some occasional new, free things (and
some pay stuff) posted at TG Comics.
Another content creator, 'TheForgottenOne', also just made and
posted a partially-animated 'visual comic', "To Love Is to Lust"
(apparently featuring a mutual MtF-FtM gender swap), with a trailer
up for it on Vimeo, though the full film/comic itself requires
pay-for-access ($10).

Well that's half the problem right there #6, people make decent
stuff, then they start charging for it. No right-minded person is
going to pay that much for a five minute web comic. It's also why
this has gone dry, because people make videos, art, etc see the views
go up, then move it all to a private site and start charging for
it.

Seitenwechsel? What's dat?

Seitenwechsel (German) = Page Break or Page Change (English
Translation)
Google pointed me to a few pages that seemed to describe the same
German sports club for women, lesbians, transgender, and intersex
girls.
Then, amazingly, Google referred me to this IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3316406/
Which has information about the 2015 German movie with that title.
Then Goolge provided a trailer for it... and a mention of it from a
film site:
"After 15 years of marriage to a psychologist Teresa (Mina Tander)
and football coach Alex (Wotan Wilke Mhring) do not have much to
say and are nearing divorce. Everything changes, however, when one
night during a violent thunderstorm and a still more violent
dispute between the two something incomprehensible happens: Alex
and Teresa swap the body and suddenly have to cope in the skin of
the other ..."

- Translation through Google (by clicking the "Translate this
page" link on the search result).

Is that movie stuck in limbo or something?

I think the reason most people go through at least one period where
it seems like there's nothing out there is because it's always been
true that we can consume content faster than it can be created.
When you find a source of stuff (as we do with this website) you
tend to (at some point) binge and get caught up. Then it seems like
the well has gone dry. If you step away from it for a while that
helps stuff build up but the FOMO can make that difficult. I kinda'
wish it were possible to view older posts on the message board
without having to do a specific search. If the coders could ever
get around to adding a button that loads in older posts that would
be awesome but I know they're working for free and beggars can't be
choosers. Oh well. ~sigh~

"... we can consume content faster than it can be created..."
Indeed. We can imagine it plenty fast, but getting it on paper (or
worse, video), and getting it right so others may share our vision
is a drawn-out and daunting process. For every image and scene in
your head, thousands of words must be organized or reality altered.
Worlds must be created and populated. Hours and days and weeks and
years of toil and anguish!
And when it's finally done... well, as done as we can get it...
It plays back or reads in just minutes (or maybe hours).

"I kinda' wish it were possible to view older posts on the message
board..."
Most of the posts would be "can someone give me a link to
download..." or "anything new about this?" :-P

Well here's something that might interest some of you. On next
week's episode of Jitsu wa Watashi wa the gender bender werewolf
will be making his first appearance. I hope the transformation
won't be a flash or a poof of smoke.

For me a dry spell is a good thing. It gets me away from the
internet and into the real world.

Boah, I needed really some time, what do you all mean with "dry
spell". A magical spell for dryness or what? But now I know, you
mean "summer hole" ( Sommerloch, in german). I hope I understand
this now correctly :-)

From: cj
, 106 months, post #17 |
Vorbergehend... mangel or der mangel are probably closer. "dry
spell" in the above context meaning "drought" or "temporary" "lack
of" or "shortage".
But you are close with Sommerloch... if Google Translate is working
correctly (because I do not speak German... yet).
