Grimm ' Dying on a Prayer

Disapointing for the Adaline/Nick connection. But the other Hexabeast manages to find Adaline' spell and at one point turns herself into Adaline.
The ' cure' for nick will involve something with his Girl friend.
The other Hexabeast finds out that there is powerful blood related magic i nvolved in the spell Adaline used & it could cause real problems as the connection is much deeper than Adaline counted on.

Is this from the recent episode of Grimm?

From: jasobres , 115 months, post #3
It certainly is.

What has hurt the show for me is that it has devolved from its original premise. If you look at the pilot episode, the Grimm phenomenon was so rare, that Nick didn't even know he had it himself. Neither his mother nor his aunt shared with him through his first 25 to 30 years of life that he might have this power. Then, with mom and aunt out of the picture, it was all up to Nick to save the world from these monsters who have always lived among us.
But from there, one by one, everyone in town now gets to see these monsters that were hidden from Nick for the first quarter of a century of his life.
It has changed from a story with a true mythic hero to a soap opera.

I hate it when they don't post the time of the transformation, i have to look every second of the episode for it...

I thought for sure that when Adaline was drowning that Nick would be as well but...it didn't happen. Elizabeth found a blood connection between Adaline and Nick so the connection is getting more interesting.

I can't wait to see how Juliette is needed as the remaining "ingredient".

This seems disappointing.

I have to agree because they didn't show when she transform. But, they show her transforming back to her original form.

Sure, the premise of the show GRIMM has drifted a bit. That is a tendancy with a lot of shows that go more than one season. Like, in Battlestar Galactica the "skin job" Cylons were supposed to be a military secret that just came out as the series began. But by the time the series was over, we know that Caprica had what amounted to "skin job" Cylons from even before the inititial Cylon revolt (I'm not sure if these early human-like Cylons had flesh or had flesh-simulating plastic).

But I don't find the drift in Grimm's premise to be a big deal for my own tastes. I really like the new character Trubel, as well as most of the reoccuring characters. Monroe was always cool, and Rosalee, from her first appearance, has been a favorite. The conflicted role of Renard in interesting, too; I'm glad he survived the assassin (I have given up on shows, like LOST.) There are so many good characters in Grimm that they all can't be cited. It's also amusing how Nick was never a tradtional Grimm ("if they're Wesen, axe 'em"), but saw his role as giving justice to humans and Wesen alike.

im sorry but that "trubel" girl is one of the worst actresses ive ever seen. Just her name alone is just bad. But i'm not a fan of the show at all, basic network (fox, nbc, cbs) shows are just awful, with exception of a few

From: guest (Captain Cylon) , 115 months, post #12
I disagree, Bart. The character's name is Theresa Rubel (T. Rubel); she could easily be called Trubel when she was a kid). And I see nothing wrong with Trubel's acting, and the actress has a definite charm that holds the attention of those who are into this sort of show. Everyone gives low estimations regarding performers on shows that he don't care for. So many seemed to think the long-running Seinfeld was a superior program, but I saw it as an irritating bust. I'm not into urban comedy, and was put off by the cast interviews I saw. I watched only two episodes and that was because Terri Hatcher, whom I liked from "Lois and Clark," was appearing. As for the rest of the Seinfeld material I actually saw, it reinforced my conviction that this approach to comedy would never appeal to me.

If a network has bad programs, those programs should be avoided. But some of the best fantasy programs are appealing on network TV. On Fox, Gotham and Sleepy Hollow are superb. The CW has too many good shows to name, such as Arrow and Vampire Diaries. CBS is pretty much a desert lately, but NBC has Grimm (of which I am a loyal fan), and also the intense and well done supernatural fantasy "Constantine." I have watched "Supernatural" only occasionally (like LOST, they eliminated too many characters that I liked), but I've gotten into Constantine.

When someone discovers a good show, network or not, he ought to watch it. Maybe it will do a little to help convince these networks to keep the imaginative concept shows coming. Of course, you haven't said that you like imaginative broadcasting, or even whether you watch much tv at all.

Looks like Juliette's going to turn into Adalind next week to help Nick become a Grimm again.

That... looks SO good!

From: Bodyswap1 , 114 months, post #17
Can't wait to see it.

From: guest (stag) , 114 months, post #18
Adalind is sexy. What woman wouldn't want to look like her (not that Juliette is a slouch)? I look forward to the next episode

From: Eric , 114 months, post #19
An older Nexa beast certainly seemed to like swapping shapes with Adalind in an earlier show. She smiled & beemed checking out her new form.

Just so everyone knows, this was pretty awesome. Here are some timestamps:
8:53 - prep before the transformation
9:37 - beginning of the transformation
10:33 - awkward sex
13:10 - mirror reaction
13:28 - beginning to transform back
14:20 - juliette is herself again

It's basically a straight shot from when it starts to when it ends. There weren't too many remarks about Adalaind'd body, but it was implied in a lot of ways. I loved it!
