Shapeshifter reasons?

I'm doing a comic about a woman gaining the power to shapeshift. I'm after some reasons to become someone (a copy or an entirely new person), I've got the usual infiltration/spying reason and the softcore sexual experimentation route but I'm wanting as many more as I can get. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Misdirection

Think getting away from spouse/family or the mob... or police (or some arcane government or private research organization that has discovered you and wants to "study" you and your powers).

How about robbing a bank or something.

As a woman with the ability to shapeshift... how about knocking around a couple of abusive boyfriends, or setting up some real dirt-bag.

Politicians and corrupting the system... nevermind that'd be moot. :-P Still, mimicking someone in power to make a few changes to whatever the cause du jour is could be a reason... would also add to the story as to your character's struggles with ethics and personal moral compass.

Oh... also, kids and seniors sometimes get discounts or freebies. Don't forget to play the age angle. :-)

I've actually spoken to a few women about what they would do if they were able to become someone else. The general consensus is:

  1. 1 They want to know what it's like to have a penis, and they want to experiment with it (every single one of them said that)
  2. 2 They want to know what it's like to be physically much bigger and stronger than they are normally

Reasons they would want to become a specific person (mostly another female):

  1. 1 Women can't be nearly as open about sex as men are. I've heard the first person they'd turn into was so-and-so's wife or girlfriend almost as much as "I want to know what it's like having a dick."
  2. 2 They want to be young and pretty (with the intent of getting any guy they want)
  3. 3 They want to spy on their husbands/boyfriends. They either want to become another woman they think their significant other is interested in to temp them, or they want to become a buddy of theirs to get information
  4. 4 They want a vacation from the responsibility of their lives. Whether it means being a young stud, a hot college coed or even a kid, they just want something different at the moment.

How about a scenario where the woman (is she straight? Bi?) while disguised as a man has to feign an attraction to another woman. Or a following scenario when she's having sex, loses control of her shifting, and becomes a duplicate if the woman she's seducing.

How did you manage to bring up that topic with women about f2f transformations? I always thought about writing f2f stories but wanted to have the girl to have realistic reasons. Not being a girl, and not wanting to change myself into a girl or another guy, I wanted something more to write or cap than just lust fantasies or tropes for a reason for a girl to want to. Rich/poor, young/old, interracial, and so on become cliches really fast. But hardly anyone who comes on here is a woman in the first place, much less wanting to try out being other women. It is like finding a unicorn. How did you find them and start that conversation?

You could have your character use her abilities to gain different levels of celebrity. Become a supermodel, rock star, movie star, ect.

One day we we were talking (we're all coworkers) and one of them made a remark to the effect of "I wish I could be (insert celebrity) for a day." That got the ball rolling and then I just slowly steered the conversation to ask the questions I wanted. First asking them if they'd still be a celebrity if it had to be a guy celebrity, then asking them what they'd do, then asking them if they'd still trade places with a guy for 24 hours even if they aren't famous, etc. Then from there it was what would you do, would you trade with so-and-so, what's the first thing you'd do, etc.
