Metamorphose.org SUGGESTION BOX
Page 1 2 3 4 5
From: cj , 123 months, post #1
I decided to make a searchable entry with a term that is easy enough to remember, under which suggestions can be made to help make this website a better place.

Please remember that any suggestions could/might/will take some time to code in... and others may be dismissed due to one or more of many reasons. Also remember that Paul is a very busy guy - so we are lucky (and thankful) that he takes the time to try to keep us happy.

Thanks, Paul!

Anyhow -- If you have any suggestions that would help make Metamorphose.org a better place. Post away.

And Thanks for your suggestions.

Make a box you can tick when creating a topic that will create an auto-title..... something that will let people know if it is a REQUEST topic and not a FOUND topic.

Like...
Title - Bodyswap
[ Request?
(yes)

changes it to

Title - [RQ Bodyswap

Here's one that I'm not counting on seeing, I'll bet the coding will be too complex for Paul to tackle in his spare time.

Suggestion:

Ability for Trusted Users (Moderators) to edit just parts of a thread - such as removing a link... or fixing a link.

The post will show that it was edited by whichever moderator - and why (and when would be great too).

The edited content would still be visible to other moderators for oversight... like it is now.

Another suggestion to help us moderate the message board when some questionable posts (or links) pop up:

A "Reviewed By" and/or "Agree/Disagree" component to removed (or edited) posts... or even posts that aren't removed but may be "questionable".

This would help us as moderators to know if we are in the majority or minority before choosing to back or overturn a decision on a post.

Perhaps on the removed (or edited) posts, a moderator approval tag for the public to show how many moderators (percentages) agree or disagree with the decision to remove (or edit) that post.

How about just flagging a comment (maybe even highlight the comment and explain why) as a warning and if it continues then the flagged comments will be removed. Maybe it'll help those that complain about the seemingly arbitrary deletions.

In another note, searching old topics by tags would be cool.

A way to search for all posts made by a specific user would be appreciated

Also, is there a way for images in the catalog to be made visible once more?

A like/dislike feature might also be good

Great to see you trying to get the community involved, cj. I have a bit of a meta-suggestion.

Something I've always liked about this site is how simple and straightforward it is. It's like your new browser before you've added the hundred add-ons that supposedly make it better, but just end up slowing it down or making it hectic and confusing.

My suggestion (for now), is to be wary when adding new things to this site -- but that doesn't mean I won't be back to make suggestions or second other suggestions! Just my precautionary thoughts on moving forward...

How about an animal TF section of the forum? I always feel like animal TF threads are always shoved aside, and barely get posted on. It would be nice to have a part of the forum solely dedicated to it, so that people who are into animal TFs can just go there.

Suggestion from Caleb Jones:

"i suspect the problem {with searching Message Board threads} is that most people never make it all the way down to the bottom of the page to see the search button. there are too many good topics!!! ;) Perhaps moving it to the top or to the left would help."

Grabbed from Message Board thread titled: help finding stories please. on 2015 Sept 05

How about a way to search for the author of a topic.

From: Ipkiss , 104 months, post #14
I still swing by sometimes and I've always been impressed by how much the site has stayed the same. In fact, I'm so used to the site I could navigate it blindfolded. So my suggestion is, change as little as possible.

My suggestion in a word - Scones.

You can't find very many places that will make them these days, and those that do aren't always very good. Femur's TG Comics offers a marvelous selection of biscotti, and Fictionmania whips up banana-nut muffins that are unrivaled anywhere. Their scones? Terrible. For once, I'd like to visit a transformation/TG website that can make a decent scone.

Can you do that, please? Am I asking too much?

Sorry, flip_flop_fly, the most this website can offer is cookies.

You can within a thread or topic such as this one if it gets large enough, but not the main thread/ board here.
