Is now only to November of 2011.
Trusted Users, if you get some extra time, try to tackle one or two
(of the oldest ones first, please) in the next few days.
Let's see if we can take a huge chunk out of the backlog.
Thanks!

I haven't been on in a few weeks. Do you need help confirming some
backlogged submissions? How would we do that?
I was just logging on to post something about an inanimate
possession in Haunted Hathaways 9/21/13 in the episode called
"Haunted Doll."

I took care of over a dozen entries today, killed a few links,
spambots and oddities.

Thank you The Man. Your efforts were much greater than mine today.
:-)
Holly, Under What's New
will be an Unapproved
link - when you click on that, it will pull up the page with all
the currently pending Submissions and Changes.
For submissions - you want to check if it is already in the
database, then verify (if you can) that it really exists, then
verify if there is an actual transformation in the content (use the
site's Guidelines).
After you've approved, check the formatting, etc. of the entry.
Edit as necessary, use a well established and similar entry (or
two, or three) if you have to to help you out.
For Changes, verify accuracy (if you can) before approving.
If you have any questions - leave it as is and post a note in the
Message Board here. Title your thread "PENDING SUBMISSION - " or
"PENDING CHANGE -" followed by the content title. And we'll jump in
and help out.
Thanks!

I don't see the unapproved tab. I've seen it before, but it isn't
showing for me now. (unless I am going blind, which is highly
possible.)

You have to click on the What's New
link first for it to show up. :-)

Turns out Firefox (at least on my Mac) the Unapproved tab doesn't
show. It shows on Safari and Google Chrome and IE. I was looking
over the list of unapproved stuff. Wow. Most of that stuff is
really obscure. My hat is off to you guys for the time it takes to
confirm and put these in the database.
I'll still give it a go with a couple, but the first few I tried I
wasn't able to confirm or deny. All I can say is that when people
put in a submission, they really need to link to some evidence that
verifies it.

Thanks Holly.
Some of the old web-only stuff might be difficult to verify. You
can always drop a note on the message-board (like I stated in post
4) for the rest of us. So we don't duplicate your work, and/or can
continue (or might just know).

YAY!!!
Backlog is finally out of 2011. We're now only 22 months behind.
Thank you everyone for your patience, and to the Trusted Users, for
your help.

UGH!!!
Backlog is back up to 28 months behind.
Sorry everyone, we've been busy with other things in life and have
let you down a bit.
As always, thank you, everyone, for your continued patience and
help.

Backlog is now only
935 days behind.
I'll keep plugging away at it as much as I can. I hope that the
other trusted users can squeeze some time out of their busy
schedules to lend a hand too.
We don't want to flood the site with all these new approvals /
rejections either - but we'll certainly work on those older
submissions to get that backlog caught up.

Backlog is now only
885 days behind. Rejected 2, Approved 4.
One of the rejections was a New Submission
, submitted today for an item that already exists in the database.
If I get time later this week (or next) I'll link the existing
episode entries to the series entry.

Okay everyone... how many new items per week would be "too many"?
If we have the time to sort through 5 or 10 or 20 pending
submissions per week... how many would you consider to be "too
many" per week?
I want to plow through that backlog, but I don't want to flood the
site with a ton of "new" material.
Thanks.

Oh, just plow through the backlog and get rid of it and post
promptly. There have been long spells with the only activity being
on the message board, so don't worry about avoiding that: put up as
much cleared material as practical right away.

I agree with post #15.
These days there's been so little to look forward to when it comes
to our type of news, so seeing 20+ "new" approved submissions I'm
sure would be welcomed.

Now that it's the weekend, I'll ask again, how many new items per week would be "too many"? If we have the
time to sort through 5 or 10 or 20 pending submissions per week...
how many would you consider to be "too many" per week?
I want to plow through that backlog, but I don't want to flood the

I've got a couple votes to just plow through the backlog, anybody
else care to voice their opinion?
Thanks.

I'm all for plowing through and getting as much in as we can, I've
been pulling random ones i can confirm as i can go.
