Were any of you's guys fans or avid readers of the Book series
"Help! I'm Trapped in..." by Todd Strasser. The book series
revolved around this boy named Jake Sherman and his various
different body swap adventures with many different people. Each
book involves him swapping bodies with some other person in his
life or even something really out there like an alien. For example
the title of one of the books is "Help! I'm trapped in my Teacher's
Body", which is the first of the series where he accidentally swaps
bodies with his science teacher via his teacher's new invention.
The teacher then masquerades as him, and Jake in his teacher's body
has to try and fight and persuade the new Jake to switch back, (the
new Jake likes being Jake). Other swaps in the series include
Jake's sister Jessica, the Principal, an alien, a model, his gym
coach, a lunch lady, a vampire, the President, and his dog, etc.
Did any of yous guys read any of the books in this series? If so,
what did you think? Which one of the books was your favorite and
why? Do you ever re-read them now? I never got to read the ones
where he switches bodies with a model and his gym coach
unfortunately. I would very much like to get my hands on some used
copies so that I can read them.

I would check eBay for partial sets, and amazon.com for used copies
(the shipping will cost more than the book each time).

Hey dis_guise, I conducted a search of old posts on here regarding
this series, and I saw an old post from you where you said you
might write your own spin-off of the book "Help I'm Trapped in my
Sister's Body", where Jessica as Jake refuses to swap back and
becomes a football star or something after Jake's friends try and
convince them to stay that way, and so they permanently keep each
other's bodies. Have you given anymore thought to writing that? I
would LOVE to see such a story written. Whenever I read the story I
always imagine Jessica in Jake's body sneaking into the school and
destroying the DITS machine so her and Jake are permanently stuck
in each other's body... maybe even before destroying the machine
trick Mr. Dirksen (the inventor of the machine down there), and
swap him with a frog, that way no one will know how to rebuild the
machine. After swapping the inventor with a frog trapping his
knowledge of the machine in a frog forever, she in Jake's body
destroys the machine making her and Jake permanently and forever
stuck in each other's bodies. I was thinking such a scenario would
make them forever each other since Jake in Jessica's body refused
to stay each other any longer because he did not enjoy being
Jessica. But anyway, I would love to see you write this spin-off. I
also think it would be cool to read a spin-off of "Help I'm Trapped
in My Gym Teacher's Body", where Jake decides to permanently become
his gym teacher and refuses to swap back with his teacher in his
body... I think that idea would probably interest you much less,
but it's something that interests me. But please reconsider writing
a spin off for the Jake and Jessica swap. Thanks!

First off, a disclaimer: This is NOT a grammar nazi post.
But please, please, please, for the love of god use more paragraphs
lol.
I was interested in reading your post but I can't - it gives me a
headache. So for one reader at least your effort in communicating
with the community was wasted .

I can remember reading Help! I'm trapped in the first day of
school, which was actually pretty good. Had no idea there were so
many of them though.

A lot of the books in this series are now available digitally on
Amazon's Kindle store, which may be a little easier to find for
folks like me.
And they've apparently been updated too. I had to put the book down
for a moment after a very out-of-place reference to an iPhone in
Help! I'm trapped in my Sister's Body.

Found Supermodel for free through googling. Anyone know how I can
read sister for free? It's the only other one that interests me.

I tried googling the super model one but had no luck :( where'd you
find it?

@Incurious, I'd probably just make the Jake/Jessica swap permanent
voluntarily. I thought that the scenes in the original with the
Jessica-bodied Jake and Jake's Japanese-girl pen-pal were rather
lame... I'd either omit them in a parody or add some girl-on-girl
stuff.
I would like to see Jake or some other male character stuck as a
female and at least okay with the situation if not necessarily
happy about it. Another possibility if I ever write something like
this.

Are there any books in the series of "Helped! I'm Trapped In..."
available online that involve Jake swapping with other men, besides
him swapping with his nerdy science teach in the first book (I've
already read that one)? The ones where he swaps with women, I
really have no interest in. I read that the supermodel one is
online, but are the ones where he swaps bodies with the wrestler,
or his gym teacher, or his camp counselor online... or where his
friend Josh switches bodies with the principal? I would love to
read those... has anyone seen any of the ones where Jake swaps
bodies with another male available online free to read?

Hello everyone...
Does anybody know where one can read "Help I'm trapped in a
Supermodel's body" online?

I suspect that one just needs to find cheap used copies and forget
about on-line freebies...
|
From: guest

I would rather in all honesty read them online... I live with other
people and I would rather them not have questions arise as to why
I'm ordering any used copies of "Help I'm Trapped In...", once the
books are delivered to our apartment. I would buy it used in a
store but I have never seen it available. Furthermore I do not own
a kindle so that is not an option. It's not so much that I want a
"freebie" as I don't want the awkward situations arising about my
interests in transformations is all.

You can get Kindle reader programs for most computers and many
phones... true, there will be a record on your Amazon account that
you ordered them, which may still be a problem. I read almost all
books nowadays on my Android phone using the Kindle app.

@Mr. Ram,
Well it would be pretty weird to have my one of my roomies sign for
my package only to see it's a kid's book... and come to me and ask
"Yo blankity blank, why are you ordering Children's books?" Without
my revealing that I'm into transformation fiction, it will seem
pretty weird... and if I did reveal I was into transformation
fiction that would also be awkward.

The Kindle store is probably your best bet, then. If you don't want
the record to be on your account, you could always make a new one
exclusively for transformation stuff.
If you have a smartphone, there's Kindle apps. If not, there is a
web-based Kindle reader as well. They're only two or three dollars.

If I download an app for my computer that can read kindle books, is
it possible for me to print pages off? So that I can have a mobile
copy. I usually like reading books while laying down, and since I
have a desktop, that isn't really possible. so yea Im would love to
be able to print pages off of the kindle app. anyone know if that
is an option?
