Yes, it violates the terms of the NDA for the beta. I am part of the beta and we are in no way supposed to share any details about anu aspects of the game as Bethesda and Zenimax do not want details to reach outside the CLOSED beta.

Please delete this thread.

You have to be under the NDA to break the NDA; it sounds like guest #5 isn't in beta, so (s)he didn't have an NDA to break. Still, passing along leaked beta information, even if you're not in beta, is sketchy, and I don't think we should be hosting leaked beta information here. I agree that this thread should be deleted.

"I did beta testing for the elder scrolls online over the weekend and if you play as part of the altmeri dominion alliance there is a quest you are given by an elven woman where you go to rescue her master from this temple. Once inside you encounter a skeleton that tells you basically it's a spirit of a necromancer that can possess people and it intends to do so with the high elf male you are going to save. You do some fighting and a puzzle to get to him and he's been possessed by the time you get there, you then go to the central chamber where the female assistant says he's too important and she will take his place. In the end she gets possessed and you seal the necromancer in the temple and he's stuck in her body, you can then go back to see the possessed girl who speaks to you in the necromancer's male voice saying that one day he'll escape and find you and turn you into a hat (random, I know). She stays like this indefinitely after the quest. Game is out in April for pc, would've taken a video, but they slapped me with a non disclosure agreement and my user name was plastered over the screen to make sure I don't stream any videos. Sorry :)."

If you read this site's guidelines and FAQs, as well as the posting guidelines, you will see that the spirit of this message board is NOT to post messages that are spoilers obtained through illegal activities. Apparently, someone broke their NDA - although those of us who didn't agree to the NDA are not violating such, there is no reason to continue posting the ill-gained goods here after the information was removed TWICE before.

The blatant disregard of this site's moderators has now resulted in this thread being locked completely to further posts.

Find a different place to post these ill-gained goods.

IN THE FUTURE -- A short statement that the upcoming game might contain content that appeals to TG fans... and a link (or better yet search keywords) to the content on another site MIGHT be allowed.

Again, Paul's wishes are that this site NOT become a hotbed for trouble (such as take-down notices for information posted by people who broke the word).

I'm leaving post #14 visible - as although some of it is in error - there is still good information to be had there. And I'm not afraid to show that I'm still human and admit to my errors.


In my review of this thread, I missed the "months" qualifier of the original posts timing - and so viewed this as an entirely new thread. That was my largest error... and completely mine (and not caught until after I unlocked the post this afternoon). So, I apologize to all of you for that oversight.

In my quest to determine if the NDA was still in effect or not - I was not finding any definitive and official information - I just didn't have the time to research further. Until I was given the above URL, I was mostly "in the dark".


As someone who knows very little about the game/universe itself, I do welcome all the assistance that the rest of you have been offering. It is sometimes difficult to make decisions about a title or subject that is not so well known to us when trying to moderate this forum - and we (moderators) will err from time to time. We will always try to do our best to be fair, accurate, and informed when making decisions, but it is not always going to happen as easily as we'd like. That's why there are several of us.. and that's why we need you to help us out when we do cough-up a massive hairball like this one.

Thank you for your understanding, and your involvement! And again, I do apologize to all of you for my blundering this one.
