Wednesday (Netflix Series) Season 1
Wednesday Addams, the daughter of Gomez and Morticia Frump-Addams, (played by Jenny Ortega) is sent to her parents' alma mater, Nevermore Academy where she discovers her psychic powers and solves a mystery surrounding the school and an incident involving a murder of a student that lands her parents in jail. She was previously expelled from several schools for attacking bullies who have been harassing her brother, Pugsley with piranhas in the school pool.
Later in the series, Wednesday meets Uncle Fester, who helps her uncover clues about a creature called a Hyde, which is a human who is being controlled by a powerful influence. There are several murders of people around the community of Jericho, Vermont linked to this creature and who is behind the creature.
Principal Weems, the head of the Academy that Wednesday attends, can shapeshift. Enid, another student and roommate of Wednesday's, is revealed to be a werewolf. There are vampires and a siren student who also join Wednesday to solve the mysteries of the school and the town, which was founded by Pilgrims who hated outcasts. Their leader was a minister who persecuted Wednesday's ancestor, Goody Addams by burning her at the stake for being a witch.
