I'm surprised this isn't on here yet. In the sequel to The Shining, Danny Torrance is now an adult and end up befriending a young girl, Abra, who shares his Shining gift. Through the Shining, the two are sometimes able to see through each other's eyes.
<spoiler> Later in the book, they actually pull off a full on swap, or "swapsies" as they call it, when Danny uses the Shining to take control of the 13 year old girls body to escape danger. There's also minor swaps between Abra and the female villain who feeds on the power of the Shining. </spoiler>
